  • i feel sorry for that cat in fact i feel sorry for eney animal thats got prblames like that

  • Dude My cat is having trouble breathing and im very worried it just started 3 days ago is not as fast as yours in the vid but the abdominal area gets to big when she breathes and she is very exhausted there are not vets in the area due to vacation time and i wanted to know if is URGENT for a vet to see her or can it wait until monday ???

  • @XxChEcKoxX Umm yes it sounds like it could be an asthma attack. Hopefully things are better now and/or you have managed to find an after-hours vet. It could be lots of other thigns of course, but if she is that tired and expending that much effort just to breathe, you really should have her seen to ASAP.

I really hope things turn out well for you both :/

  • aww poor thing

  • Well?

I'm guessing, sadly, he didn't make it eh?

  • poor kitty! i unfortunatley have seen an intussusception surgery recently. we also have a real fat cat who we suspect has megacolon. if we could only get the client to listen to what we are telling her... some people think they know everything just because they have 12 other cats... you know how it is...

  • Yeah I know exactly what you mean! Hopefully with persistence and time you will win those owners over. In the meantime, their poor constipated kitty hangs in the balance! Thanks for commenting :)

  • its so cute, its a shame it was put to sleep

  • Yeah, it was a shame. Thanks for the compassion, and looks like this kitty may at least get written up for the veterinary journals, his case was so interesting.

  • it is interesting Ive never heard of a cat that had intussusception i didn't know animals could get that and Megaesophagus Ive heard of dogs having it but not cats still im sorry it happened i just love cats.

  • Well you're right on there, Cherry, as it is the first case of megaesophagus I've encountered in a cat after nearly 11 years of practice! It's mainly why this poor little fella is being written up as a case report. I'm sorry to have seen it happen to him too but he was happy and loved his whole short life and spared suffering. You know a lot about medicine for someone so young, good on ya!

  • Well Thank you, i care a lot about animals i read a lot about many things like what they & people can get, i like to know different things. They are terrible diseases well as long as it lived a good life i can tell it loved you & Ur family. I'm shore u have another animal to give a home to. Thanks for showing this video and the 3rd rock one too.

  • Cheers for that, and I'm a vet so this kitty wasn't mine but it was one of my patients. I originally posted this to a vet consult board for some advice. Hopefully I'll be able to get more 3rd Rock stuff up at some stage! Take care :)

  • Yeah, this little fella, named Lucky, had a few bad problems: laryngeal paralysis, megaesophagus, gastro-esophageal intussusception and aspiration pneumonia. Given such a poor outlook for his health, he was put to sleep :( But he had very loving owners who kept him well for the short time he had with us on this earth!

  • poor kitty.
