The SX4 is a 3000 pound tiger! I would go to road race motor sports.com.

Get the under pulley kit first $149. Then get the Short Ram Intake for $199. Next get the steel brake line kit for $179 and the camber kit for $89. Then there's the $400 piggyback that gives peak software performance. And $429 headers you can buy before the ultimate TURBO kit for a cool $4500! But before you get the turbo kit be safe and get the $1800 brake kit. So you can go from 150hp to 315hp for about $8000.

I would get the turbo upgrade but it's hard enough staying out of trouble with the stock 150hp.

Of course, I think its a waste of time if you turbo an automatic :p

@AWDfreak Why is a turbo on an automatic a waste of time? Turbo with auto allows to you stay WoT though shifts so you're losing intake manifold pressure. It really doesn't matter much in this application, it's a total uphill battle to turbo an sx4 while you can sell it and buy a WRX for the same money.

Ive seen you guys web site, whats a safe HP level on the stock engine(internals ect.)? Im really thinking about buying one of these because of the body parts you guys sell for them, got a turbo del sol right now, lookin for a car to replace my wifes 4door civic, and this looks like the one i want. Awesome

Ive owned one for 2 years.....Great in snow like you would not believe. The 4 wheel drive lock system is excellent, city parking is ez and Mileage sucks ass really. Because there are so many supports for the roof you can carry any weight you want up top. Buy the center arm rest up front and have them install it as a deal closer! SX4 may be a rare 300000 mile car. But really it's so heavy and smooth that I fill my tank up every third day. If I were to trade in I would get a hybrid.

the turbo and install will cost around $7000 with install at the dealer....The turbo is now available at the dealer! WOO HOO!!!
