Both Sitting on a Backyard Fence and Honeymoon Hotel were used in Merrie Melodies cartoons of the same title. Actually Honeymoon Hotel was the first merrie melodies cartoon in COLOR! Theyre both made between 1933-1934, and they're quite charming but not as funny as the bugs bunny cartoons made 10 years later...
What a great "reverby" sound on this 78 of the tunes from one of my all time favourite films.I love "Sitting on a backyard fence" a scene were Ruby Keeler taps on a smiling face dressed as a cat!!!!
Love the Conneticut Collegians. I have a couple of their records on Eclipse. Many thanks for sharing these.

I love "Footlight Parade" with Ruby Keeler, James Cagney, and Joan Blondell. The songs are so catchy!
