  • This would be a great alternative to Cape Wind, nearly slated to be installed between the Cape and the Islands. Those Big Money pushers are trying to downplay this idea. The Cape Cod Canal has predictable strong tidal currents, and Hydro Quebec is completely capable of giving us LOWER, not DOUBLED electric rates. We're in the middle of really dirty politics here.

  • So this -is- hooked to the grid now? I had heard that they were lacking Federal licences, and so only a parking garage and a store were getting power from this project.

  • Sounds like a maintenance nightmare.. would be nice to divert a channel & convert it to a multi micro system... sounds like a fun project :)
