it does sound very much the same, thank you for the link. however there is nothing new under the sun, everything has been done. I personally like goldfrapps interpretation better than the link. It pulls on my emotional stings so much more. The other one kinda bores me, even though it is very pretty. Goldfrapp's voice, and unique minor chords and sounds is what makes it different

but will is a very accomplished composer...and i find it rather absurd to say they would sample when none of the other tracks on the album don't sound that way at all. i'm sure that score(and alison has played giu la testa when doing DJ gigs,btw)was purely a catalyst for this track. if they were directly inspired by this,they did a very inspiring job in doing so. especially using it as a transition for pop music. no one has ever done that before.

and btw,if it weren't for goldfrapp and their endless counting of morricone as an influence on this album,i don't think many people of our generation(including myself) would have ever discovered morricone's genius as a composer. he's highly influential.
