Anyone arguing Doors vs. Zeppelin .. get off it! They both have HUGE followings, have stood the test of time and are mentioned as major influences by most bands who have made it big since then. I think any realistic rock fan would have them both in their top ten best bands of all time. For me personally, depending on my mood one of them will always be #1 and the other a close second.

Having heard most everything out there by Zep this was a treat. Don't know why there's always the "blah blah is much better than blah blah". Bands are like flavors and Rock n Roll's richness is a tribute to them all. The Doors made their contribution in the Pantheon of Rock with organ driven oddness, proto-punk FTW attitude and nihilistic lyrics. Zep did likewise with incredible distorted blues numbers, JR Tolkien, folk, and eastern influences, Like Greek gods and Norse. Bow to them both.
