With a Pair of ViseGrips You Clamp the Spike, then Twist it out most of the time. If it broke off I'd then use a File aka FlatBastard to smooth it off before I glued on a Magnet. The Spike remnant holds the Magnet until the Glue Drys!

@sharpshooter1805 You don't use pellets with wet glue... Only an idiot would do that. That is why you wait for the clue to dry. I could make a pellet out of nothing but glue with a little bit of work. All you have to do is get a blob glue, wait for it to dry, then shape it into a pellet. It would more than likely be a crap pellet, though. But still, it wouldn't cause any jam so long as it's the right size and/or shape.

Hallow point ammo just squashes down into a hunk of metal, thus making irregular tears in flesh, and causes deep lacerations. Basically hallow point is to humans as armor piercing is to tank.

@MrTommelton Hi. I tried making these pellets; I used dome headed and point headed pellets instead of hollow point. I test fired them at a book. I found that the penetration was marginally better when modified. None went right through the book. Also, the pellets didn't 'mushroom' nearly as much as they did without modifications and there was a lot less deformation. I also tested against a thin steel plate and the pellet made a small hole but ricocheted off and nearly hit my head!
Hey nice work but you don't mention the gun you are using I have 1000 fps- let me know what you are whacking with ----- it makes a difference regarding results --- if you are using a 1500 fps the difference would be substantial-- I can't imagine pushing anything through a phone book with my gun----- I'd like to of course!!!
I wanted to make some out of hollow point pellets with a little piece of porcelain in the tip so they zip through glass with no problem. Porcelain breaks glass super easy. If for some reason you had to take a shot through glass they would help. I should patent it... If you do make some, let me know how they work.
I made a few short,medium,and long and the best for me is short because when your hunting u need to make longer shots so if u shoot longer ones it is weighted a little bit more towards the frount so you will b hitting it on the back or side insted of on the point you made. Try shooting a phone book at 50,75 feet with all pellets and look at the points short will b more straght and long will be pointed more down. I hope i helped thanks!

Hallow point ammo just squashes down into a hunk of metal, thus making irregular tears in flesh, and causes deep lacerations. Basically hallow point is to humans as armor piercing is to tank.

Straight up retarded. You say you want to shoot squirrels with them. Why? You will penetrate the squirrel without the metal tip anyways, and with a hollowpoint you will make a wider hole through the animal = more damage. And i would like to see you make some decent groups with those. My standard 10shot group at 50 meters are around ½". You wont ever be able to get anyway near that with those homemade retardo pellets.

ok people, listen, i know the point of hallow point pellets is to mushroom, i get it, i modified them, there for, the purpose of these pellets is no longer mushrooming its to pass through. and second, iv had a lot of comments on me pushing my kid and saying ill kick your but boy, listen, if you don't play rough with your kid, thats your thing, don't talk shit to me for rough housing with mine. he doesn't cry, he doesn't get upset, we were playing, so if you dont like it dont comment.

@MrTommelton Hi. I tried making these pellets; I used dome headed and point headed pellets instead of hollow point. I test fired them at a book. I found that the penetration was marginally better when modified. None went right through the book. Also, the pellets didn't 'mushroom' nearly as much as they did without modifications and there was a lot less deformation. I also tested against a thin steel plate and the pellet made a small hole but ricocheted off and nearly hit my head!

Hey nice work but you don't mention the gun you are using I have 1000 fps- let me know what you are whacking with ----- it makes a difference regarding results --- if you are using a 1500 fps the difference would be substantial-- I can't imagine pushing anything through a phone book with my gun----- I'd like to of course!!!

I wanted to make some out of hollow point pellets with a little piece of porcelain in the tip so they zip through glass with no problem. Porcelain breaks glass super easy. If for some reason you had to take a shot through glass they would help. I should patent it... If you do make some, let me know how they work.

I made a few short,medium,and long and the best for me is short because when your hunting u need to make longer shots so if u shoot longer ones it is weighted a little bit more towards the frount so you will b hitting it on the back or side insted of on the point you made. Try shooting a phone book at 50,75 feet with all pellets and look at the points short will b more straght and long will be pointed more down. I hope i helped thanks!
