I was stationed at ft.ord ca. in 1988-1992 & when this album came out i went out an bought the ALBUM, yes ALBUM & 20 plus yrs. later I still have it in the exact cover in damn near mint condition. People the 70's through mid 90's were the greatest days ever. Artist who dressed well,had great voices,gave great interviews, & loved their fans. Today there's a few who are like that, but 85% of today's music in r&b & rap is shitty & filled with meaningless garbage. I wish we could all go back.

I kinda differ on this being labeled as "New Jack Swing" It came out at the same time as that but Teddy Riley's music is New Jack Swing all the way. This is far from that in my opinion.

That was my second favorite next to this song.

The moment Chuckii came out, I liked his music because there was something innocent and clear about it beacuse he never sang about giving you the world, plucking all the stars from heaven,etc. he sang about real life frustration to the extent that there was something sentimental about his style. Now there's no where for it to be showcased. These days R&B is mixed with all this other music. Hip Hop ect. It's sad. I miss the old BET Days. New Jack, definitely was a great time for music. Chuckii Booker (Barry White's godson, I think)was amazing. Saw him open for Janet Jackson once at Madison Square Garden. He was FABULOUS! I truly love this song. Whatever happened to good music like this? Who knows? I was about 16 when this song came out. I am grateful for youtube, how else would I be able to listen to decent music like this and from people like Deon Estus, I think that's how you spell Deon's last name.

New Jack, definitely was a great time for music. Chuckii Booker (Barry White's godson, I think)was amazing. Saw him open for Janet Jackson once at Madison Square Garden. He was FABULOUS! It hurt to see the crowd really wasn't feeling him nor was he given his just due; they just wanted to see Janet. But I knew I was hearing a true musician. Nothing beats REAL TALENT: someone who reads music and has a command of chord arrangement. Where is he now?

Chuckii Booker was INSANELY talented!!! He took new jack swing & put chord strctures, elastic basslines, guitar solos & super-tight production in it. He was so underrated, it's ridiculous!!!

no way! i didn't know chuckii made this song. i heard this song and thought it sounded great back when i heard it. when i clicked on this song and it started off with the slow piano part, i said i didn't know this song. then BOOM he starts singing TURNED AWAY! wow!

I am over 30 but he was pushing it way too much - he looked very unnatural dancing. her belongs behind a keyboard not out front dancing like that. some guys just don;t come off as dancers. I say the same thing when i see Ne-yo dancing - looks weird.

Chuckii Booker is an extremely skilled musician, songwriter, and producer. Chuckii has been musical director for Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Mary J Blige and many other BIG NAME artists. Do your homework folks. In the record business their are few that are as well respected. Chuckii is also a virtuoso as a guitarist and keyboard player.
