@tariqs1000 because of what happened in 2001 they couldn't make liberty city into real New York but for gta 4 they could so that's partly the reason(if not the biggest). there might be other reasons but this is one of them.

GTA graphics steadily got worse because they were packing in so much content. I like what they did. San Andreas graphics were terrible, but there was ALWAYS something to do. Nowadays, though, their graphics get better. GTA V is rumored to be using CryEngine 3, which uses the Urban Life System. Everyone will be buying that.
LCS has better lighting than gta 3 but the roads look like a cartoon but the game was made by Rockstar Leeds witch dose things different including the texture or the roads and environment if LSC roads look like gta 3 roads then the game will look much better.
Also have yawl notice that Rockstar games uses the same textures form gta 3 in VC and the same textures form VC to VCS and also i am a moder i see textures from VC even in SA whats up with that i don't get why Rockstar reuses the same mess.

@jimjams91 No, VC and III are the same Renderware. VC uses a modified version of GTA IIIs egine, but many things are the same(car handlingphysics and tire sounds, perhaps). Vice city did what GTA III could have done back in 2001, but the developers experience was probably missing and there was no 3D GTA formula(this might also explain why the Dodos wings are cut). Basically, Vice city filled out GTA IIIs plot and technical holes(Claude is mute, one plane, no clothing etc.)

This video's really good! I'm kinda new to the GTA missions. I've beat Liberty City Stories and now I'm playing GTA III. I'll have to admit that LCS has better graphics, but that's because it was made in 2005. I can't really say which storyline I like better, but they're both good. That's the reason why I like both games.

wow ur a retard. The price for LCS was reduced cause it didnt have features that the PSP version had, cause thats where it came out first for. But if it did have all the features, then it wouldve been around the same price as the psp one like 40$. so do sum resarch before u type anything.
It's only when you compare the two games like this that you realize just how average the graphics in GTA:LCS really are. The vehicles look boxy and the textures are bland and grainy - the same applies to GTA:VCS, though to be fair, both games were originally designed for the PSP.
GTA III's moody and stylized graphics make it the best-looking game in the series IMO, though GTA:VC has the best vehicle models. GTA:SA's graphics are average due to the game's immense size.
i think gta3 is better because gta3 has better graphics that look realistic and is more original and LCS graphics look so unrealistic there is no dust and its a remake
Gta3's graphics just has this feeling,im not sure what it is, but i bet its one of the things why it's the best gta ever..the framerate is great too, as for LCS..well,it just isnt the same..
Its just a matter of perspective, GTA III is more dark somewhat realistic feel, GTA LCS is more lighter brighter. However LCS is dropped the company Renderware (people who did graphics for GTA VC & 3)

This video's really good! I'm kinda new to the GTA missions. I've beat Liberty City Stories and now I'm playing GTA III. I'll have to admit that LCS has better graphics, but that's because it was made in 2005. I can't really say which storyline I like better, but they're both good. That's the reason why I like both games.

gta 3 is older but looks olmost as good but gta lcs is only for ps2 or is olso for xbox 360 but wood take gta 3 for the better storyline and gta lcs is so wird becose it is diffrent then gta 3 so i go for gta 3.....................lol

dis video is stupid i mean come on, GTA3 was made in 2001 so most games had graphics like tat, and liberty city stories was made in 2005 so the technology got better.
gta 3 was a BIG HIT when it came out, best sellin game bak then....but when LCS came out no1 liked it, barly any1 bought it..so they had to reduse the price rite away..........ND STILL GTA3 IS BETTA, HALAAAA!!!

wow ur a retard. The price for LCS was reduced cause it didnt have features that the PSP version had, cause thats where it came out first for. But if it did have all the features, then it wouldve been around the same price as the psp one like 40$. so do sum resarch before u type anything.

It's only when you compare the two games like this that you realize just how average the graphics in GTA:LCS really are. The vehicles look boxy and the textures are bland and grainy - the same applies to GTA:VCS, though to be fair, both games were originally designed for the PSP.
GTA III's moody and stylized graphics make it the best-looking game in the series IMO, though GTA:VC has the best vehicle models. GTA:SA's graphics are average due to the game's immense size.

Gta3's graphics just has this feeling,im not sure what it is, but i bet its one of the things why it's the best gta ever..the framerate is great too, as for LCS..well,it just isnt the same..

Its just a matter of perspective, GTA III is more dark somewhat realistic feel, GTA LCS is more lighter brighter. However LCS is dropped the company Renderware (people who did graphics for GTA VC & 3)
