  • wtf O.o many features are already in Windows !! don't hate me , but i never owned a mac and i used to think it was way to much advanced than windows , i guess i was wrong !!

  • cool an ipad with a keyboard and mouse

  • Good info , thanks Brian !

  • 1 more tip:

highlight a word and press 3 taps, and you will see the definition.

  • damn coo t-shirt :) may i know where u got it from, cheers

  • To me the Macbook Air looks ugly

  • OS X and the whole Apple scene really appeals to my simplistic and minimalist side, despite the enormous overinflated price tag. Unfortunately for Apple, my simplistic and minimalist side just got gang raped by my common sense, frugal, and practical sides.

  • Hmmm... I think I'd rather stick to Windows 7.. You know... cause I don't like crashing every 10 min... And I also like playing my Skyrim.. and running Illustrator.. and photoshop... and I also like customizing my Rig without being limited... And yeah. Don't feel like paying $2,000 for a hunk of aluminum that is only useful for browsing the internet...

  • @EpicHaxThriller See thing is, My win7 crashes every 10 min dumbass. you can run skyrim On mac and Photoshop runs on mac. oh and 2000$? Nope I got my new iMac for 1000$ Fuckard. so go back to scuking your moms cock

  • @slyspy70 Sucking my moms cock... Ha ha. This goes to prove another point. The average IQ of a Mac user equals out to that of a shovel. Good job at making yourself look like an even bigger idiot :) Nice spelling and grammatical structure by the way. If you're going to attempt to insult someone, at least try and APPEAR to be smart.

  • @EpicHaxThriller You fail at trolling :D

  • @slyspy70 Ha. The most popular answer of those that have been put to the ground like the rabble they are :) Seems like you have no argument because you know I'm right. Have a nice day ;)

  • @EpicHaxThriller You too.

  • @EpicHaxThriller Actually, the average IQ of a Mac user is higher than the average IQ of a Windows PC user. Check CNET and basically any other comparison site.

  • @1NWB Ha. I've actually wasted 10 minutes sitting in front of my computer trying to briefly describe how idiotic that statement was. Long story short, according to a test I myself have done with over 1400 people (yes it took a long time and no I wasn't the only one interviewing all these people ), Windows users have an average I.Q. of 127 while OSx users averaged at 116. GG

  • @EpicHaxThriller The average IQ in the USA is 98. 127 and 116 are way too far away from this national average to be trusted as qualified results. "GG"...

  • @1NWB Funny how you automatically assumed that all subjects were from the U.S....

  • @EpicHaxThriller The highest average IQ for any country is 107, and that's Hong Kong. Your results are still way too high to be valid. Stop lying...

  • MACBOOK AIR SUCKS!

  • @EdwardTheTechGeek lol. Fuck off. hater.

  • @slyspy70 No, I can say anything I want motherfucker!

  • @EdwardTheTechGeek lol failtroll

  • Look at 2:17. Give me the pizza!

  • Wait no ilife?

  • @ultimatetoturial56 This is the NEW features

  • Am not gonna lie..i only like launch pad about os x lion =[ thats about it. its laggy now too a.e

  • Versions looks really cool.

  • Is it pretty cool, yes it is I'm not going to lie. But do you NEED it? Not at all. Can you LIVE without it? of course. Don't fall for the all the pretty new things in life. If you don't need it, and can live without out it, then don't get it. One major key to saving a lot of money.

  • man os X is sooo coool

  • Comment removed

  • I love Windows but I can't deny that mac os has some wonderful features but it's that gray appearance which puts me off... Better Windows Glass

If Mac and Windows would work together for a new OS than our digital life wouldn't be only 100% safe but beaytiful too.

  • MY SO ñ.ñ

  • no thank you, im good with my leopard.. :)

  • Applications folder on the dock that is scrollable and alphabetical beats launchpad every day of the week.

  • @jaicou Macs already have right-click since ages...

  • Resize windows in any direction, Full Size windows ? Hey It's 2011 !

  • @Antonink apple lives in its own isolated universe

  • @NinjaTakingADump You made my day XD

  • "Eyecandy"? More like iCandy!

  • Wasnt there something similar to versions on Windows XP, not to hate on LION cause I love OSX

  • lion is fucking choppy and hot on Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz macbook aluminum i wonder why, sometimes i think apple wants us to buy new computer while the old one still good enough fuck apple

  • @whewmancool i don't have that issue with mine. i know when spotlight has to index after the first lion boot. it will make the macbook hot, but i've never had any heat issues.

  • lmao this is garbage

  • coooool 3:23

  • Started Using Mac OS X Lion Already & It's AWESOME! Loving-It! Worth-Downloading! ^_^

  • What ever happened to the sliding animation when gesturing through pages in Safari? Did they just take it out or do I just have a setting wrong or something?

  • lol love the "cool" 3:23

  • @ayan2403

There is Assasin's Creed for MAC (you have to download it via STEAM), for visual C# you should look into:

Mono project, It's a open source cross platform development framework for .NET

    Google it<

  • most of these seem good although two fingers side to side used to scroll sideways and as I almost never use full screen i'll miss that

  • HAHAH BRIAN TONG - You fucked up dude!!! NO MAC PRO coming until 2012... You are such a fucking liar!!!! You and your mac pro rumors...

    such a stupid little shit!

  • wait windows was able to rezize a window from any side since like forever LOL apple ur so slow :)

  • @510METROID shut the fuck up

  • @skyfrog696969 dude wtf i am not serious but either way i dont care ur propably one of apples fanboys btw i like windows waaay better it so awsome windows 7 ftw!!

  • @510METROID well said

  • yee lakers

  • @ayan2403 wat

  • that shanna mendiola girl looks attractive. show us her email address!

  • @ayan2403 Well..if you want to try C# and .Net on Mac OSX you can try mono-develop and the mono environment. I just got me a Mac Book Pro, and I mainly develop software for windows in Delphi and C#..i''m eager to test Mono and Java. Also downloaded Lazarus for a little Delphi look-and-feel.,and probably will get the new delphi cross compiler when it ships :)

As far as Assassin's Creed goes, don't know anything about that yet.. but I guess Windows is the platform of choice for gaming.

  • Thumbs up if adds are making your youtube experience worse...

  • Launching tomorrow.....can't wait :|

  • @dvbrar how do you know???

  • @jts2x3 its been confirmed by apple.

  • What is the difference between developers preview and the commercial $30 version?

  • I laughed so hard when he said cool.

  • Comment removed

  • XP on steroids lolololl

  • @attacknickdemko - He said "Exposé", not "XP" you tool.

  • Doesn't it break Developer TOS to show Lion features? I can understand a bunch of pirates on Youtube making videos... but I am surprised about CNET.

  • i want

  • I like some of the new features, but like therepublic said. i dont want a big ipad.

  • This is the only time Apple has released a new OS with nothing i'm excited about...

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Doesnt seem like a huge update but I am looking forward to launchpad, mission control and even more swipe gestures :)

  • i have a question; since im using windows i don't really have any idea yet about apple and i was thinking to change to mac soon. I heard about this lion OS X, so basically this features only works on track pad not in iMouse? is there any way that i could use the original OS features of the mac AFTER installation of the new OS X?? like i could turn off/on the features for OS X if i dont want to use it????

  • @ichisuke03 Yes you can turn all those features off. The OS is great the way it comes, but by looking around in the preference panel you can personalized it. the gesture pretty much work either on the trackpad or on the trackpads for their desktop. The magic mouse have many gestures features but not as much as using the track pad. I rarely used mouse but if you like to used the mouse you can use it like you would expect. The Mac OS is very straight forward. you will learn to use it super fast.

  • @Apple2068 many thanks to you. Apparently i just ordered online and in few more days I could give a test by myself, so excited and it was great that some random people like you noticed my remedy. And i'll be more thankful when I get some future questions regarding mac that you can give your best answers. thanks :) btw last question (for now) when upgrading to mac OS X, is it true that it would speed up the boot up?

  • @ichisuke03 And if you make the switch and you have questions, you can ask me anytime. I will help you make your transition smooth and painless. I know many ways to get the most the Apple Mac and all the iOS devices. !

  • @ichisuke03 the most OUT OF the Mac...*****

  • @ichisuke03 iMouse?

  • The beta looks different from the ads... Still can't wait :)

  • Thank God you can turn off certain gestures and auto-save and versions in System Preferences. :)

  • wow im seeing apple copying alot recently ios5 android...os10 windows

  • Fuck my birthday its in november I CANT FUCKING WAIT!!! i'll love my mac:)

  • What if any, will be the advantage if you still use a mouse? This looks to me to be one more toy in a to long of line of toys that Mac has been making. How about just making a computer that does not cost so much. (i do have 2 MAC, IMAC and a MACBook Pro) I don't see lion as anything more then a new toy. If I am wrong, let me know, I love the price.

  • I want a mac and will get one for my birthday, but its 2 months away... it hurts to wait!

  • woah!.... its so complicated 2 fingers to the left,3 up, 4 down..

  • @ayan2403 Assassin's creed is on mac bud!

  • the only great feature is that it makes your mac noticeable faster or at least "snappier"

  • ...This is fuckin dumb. i like Leopard better. It seems as if they are making it more complicated. And i dont know if thats the new feature background but if it is, it looks dumb. As if its straight out of Tiger.

  • @a7xiszebest How is it dumb? I simply don't use all those dumb features.. you're not forced to and it makes macs run more efficiently.

  • @stevesg92 its dumb because its not leaning towards windows 7

  • @a7xiszebest Um you realize that this is a MAC operating system? so they are not going to, in the slightest "lean" towards windows 7...

  • @stevesg92 why would they do that. Windows 7 sucks D

  • @ayan2403 /trollface. give a good example.

  • i only like what they did to finder, and mail.

i hope to see more features when its actually released

  • @ayan2403 but this is in a better way...with all the gestures...

  • anyone know the exact date this is coming out in NA??

  • @cheesefish90 no exact date but people are saying july 14th for every country in the world. Its a lot easier now with the uploading to the app store since thats instant, not like shipping

  • @ayan2403 they only had fullscreen apps and even then its different enough to not count as a copy. The app is the ONLY thing on the screen with no taskbar/dock. And they're stacked sideways which is completely new for desktops. What else is there? The calander app was copied from here. The search was copied for mac and still sucks on windows. Windows+tab is a rip of expose. Even the taskbar is now a ripoff of the docl down to when you right click an open app on it.

  • @WarpeaceWar6 I agree seach option was brought from Mac, but Aero Peek isn't a rip off Exposé. Exposé gives all the windows open, like 3D flip; but Peek is more that just an eye-candy effect. You hover your mouse over the icon and it brings ONLY the relavent windows and you can also control the functioning of that program. In fact Apple brought that feature in Snow lepord AFTER Windows 7 was relased. Not to mention Media player UI ripped off for quicktime X!!! What say you?

  • @nicknet18 thats not what i meant. try windows+tab. also, snow leopard came first. Leopard came a few days before vista so apple would have been able to copy from the developer things but snow leopard came out months before 7. And as much as i find the desktop peak useless, it was a nice feature in 7 and i enjoyed that. Not saying its not like 4 fingers up but its cool. That aero peak was one of the best features of windows 7, not that it wasnt to compete with expose.

  • @WarpeaceWar6 Go look up the Web for some facts. Apple released Snow leopard in Aug 2009, Windows 7 was available as earily as Dec 2008!! And seriously, a huge mass finds Aero Peek more productive and easy to switch seemlessly between programs, anlong with Jump list it's a staple! Even with Mission control in Lion, it's still an eye-candy effect. Can you control an app in mission control and revert back to your work at hand without leaving that app?

  • @nicknet18 damn your right about the release dates. buklau!!! but i did find on my other windows laptop that it became worse for multitasking over xp. I prefered where each open window had its own icon. Its faster to switch between to but that is a matter of opinion. In os x however, if you have two windows next to each other, the one in the background is still there in the sense you can scroll and zoom without bringing it forward. Even in compare in 7, you need to leave your app to scroll. true

  • @nicknet18 hii i couldnt really describe what i meant. ran out of characters. Drag 2 windows next to eachother doing that compare thing. scroll on one then scroll on the other. It wont work. You need to switch to that app to interact. In SL, an app 100 layers in the background is still an active app and can be interacted with multi-touch gestures. and theres still command+tab in SL if your crazy enough to use it... and can you control an app in aero peek. Truly asking... not commenting

  • @WarpeaceWar6 I don't find it a good thing that a background with should respond to your scorlling. That's chaos!

Next, I find it quite funny when Apple boasted that they were the one who invest loads in multi-touch gestures. 'Cause my VAIO can recognise all most all such features in Lion. Not to mention, it can even recoginse gestures, as in mid-air upto 10 ft away. And controls in Aero peek differ with programs, eg Media Player, IE9, etc..

  • @nicknet18 they have invested a lot. PLain and simple, there is no pc thats as accurate as a macs. Also, to do 2 finger scroll on pc using synaptics (the leading trackpad software on pc) takes sooooo much force. Your fingertips will fade away. Also, wtf... can sense gestures 10 feet away. You mean like kinect in your webcam. Face recognition? thats not to do with your trackpad and multitouch. firstly thats gestures with one hand and not to do with what apple boasts about being mutitouch

  • @WarpeaceWar6 Oh yes, there are PCs which be more accurate than Macs. One of them is right in front of me!

Don't get too deluded by Apple ads. Get a reality check first. And it won't be too long for them to bring Kinect-like features on mac and say that they have "revolutionised" them again. And it's not just face recognition, hand motions and voice commands which make Win7 better than Lion, it's the nostalgia that you can work and play on one machine!!

  • @nicknet18 I have tried mutiple pc's. My family has owned 5 laptops before i got a mac. Each has a cheap plastic trackpad and software that kills your fingers. The 2010 computer behind me doesnt even have multituch. With my old acer, i remember thinking that it was very accurate. Rotate worked. scrolling worked. What else do you need. Now i see my error. Apple has clearly said they hate air gesture and i agree. My sisters touchscreen hurts. I would not trade track for touchscreen or airgestures.

  • @nicknet18 Also, that software is iffy. it is third party bloatware that sony installs to look cool. I could get the same thing on my mac called handvu. Its not hard. Its simply something put onto your computer that the average consumer will never use. Also, i'm sure that the gestures doestn have a clear annimation in the os to make it feel like you are truly pusshing the content. That is too hard for redmond to make.

  • @nicknet18 oh i looked up the gesture thing on the sony EA series. thats simple. I have a game called video tennis on my computer with better gestures. I could program that. Theres no annimation. It takes a second to load and its miles behind the kinect for example. Even the move is better. That is just bloatware, not so much a feature. All that will happen is your arm will fall off after a few gestures. Just like a laptop with a touch screen wich i have had experience on

  • @WarpeaceWar6 Alas, you talk of programming your Mac?

Kinect can be put on my PC and programmed, along with other cameras; had a demonstration at my college a couple weeks ago at a robotics conference. And software with my VAIO isn't bloatware like HP's. Funny how people get biased by CNET's reviews.

There is no laptop with touchscreen; if it is, it'll be foldable. So, you don't need to worry about your weak ligaments...

  • @nicknet18 theres a touchscreen laptop from hp. My sister has one and its not foldable. It does have a 1gb graphics card though which is nice. Almost all software which is included on pc's is also bloatware. I'm sry but thats true. And any computer can be programmed to work with cameras. Its not that hard. And the whole point of snow leopard is good programming in the background. Snow leopard has much better programming than windows which gives it the efficency boost. but whatever

  • @WarpeaceWar6 And what is the model of that touchscreen-nonfoldable-laptop of yours?

As I said, not all programs which come from a PC maker are bloatware. I didn't get any. And besides, you can't blame Windows or MS for that; they are 3rd party apps. You are free get rid of them if you want.

I'd like to know how SL is better than Windows 7; Programming? Man! Windows XP was first among to full support IA-64 bit architecture!!

Just like the rest, Apple made a loussy-fuss and you bought it.

  • @nicknet18 hp dv6. 1gb 5650, 2.1 ghz quad core amd phenom, 1366x768 15 inch display and utter trash. And its not windows fault but it is something that comes with windows. You can't buy a computer anymore without gigabytes of useless stuff.

and the fact that it starts faster, crashes less, takes up much less space, runs better, less toll on battery life and all while keeping the same features with nicer animations more than warrants better programming. please end this... i just want to be last

  • @WarpeaceWar6 HP hasn't mentioned it in their website. I looked it up; the feature was optional.

And you are right, why should I make you see reason?

    Au revoir.

  • @nicknet18 same thing though. anyways...bii. <3 you infinatly *said in a very pervy voice*. or be more poetic, au revoir. (sry for the accent, never really learned french in high school). And have you seen lion, now that looks cool... oh wait

  • @nicknet18 and if i may just add one more thing before this troll fight hopefully ends... kinect works on mac as well. It is clear that i didn't know that before just now and i did just google it, but cameras such as kinect work on mac whether redmond wanted them to or not.

  • @WarpeaceWar6 Oh yeah, you know what? It's called a patch. You need the SDK and VS for it's full power.

FYI, Earlier Macs were developed by MS. Macs crash just like Windows; that too on Apples own software, whlie Windows crash can be traced to a malfunctioning 3rd party app, 99% of the times. Macs can be hacked; /watch?v=no11eIx0x6w. Apple agree themself; Macs don't get "PC-viruses." Implying they may get "Mac-viruses."

  • @nicknet18 I never said macs don't get viruses and I know that is a misconception. In one of my classes, all the MS fans say that thats false advertising so i direct them to the apple site and show them the keyword PC. And macs can be hacked, Pwn to own is an example but why target 15% of the industry for a few bucks when you can target 85% for thousands. Thats why macs remain virus free to this day, not cause the security is good, because they aint popular.

  • @nicknet18 However, apple is taking steps now to ensure security with their rising market share by encrypting the whole disk even while their market share is low. For other similar companies, they had to wait until vista and almost 100% market share to do so. And fyi, MS saved apple with 120 million when steve came back and i respect them for that. And they use mac pro's for coding the xbox so that argument can got 2 ways. And 40 years of UNIX has proven stability over dll's.

  • @WarpeaceWar6 Encryption is also available on Windows. There were/are even third party software for it.

Mac pro for coding Xbox?!?! Is this some kinda joke?

Xbox 360 alpha stage testing was done on Power Macs, or whatever, because they incidentally shared the same processor architecture. Get the picture?

And OS X isn't UNIX, it's BSD: which is KINDA like UNIX. If you'r so found of UNIX, why not go for it, then a patched version like OS X?

  • @nicknet18 sry got the names of the macs screwed but its still true that microsoft used macs. Apple has microsoft elp and vis versa. And encryption has been on but only to address the huge amounts of theft on them and only late on. Apple is preparing for the future, something MS waiting until vista to do. And that is still unix. It is running on a super secure OS that hardly crashes. Thats true although it still does sometimes. And can this troll war end. Getting boring. No one will win...

  • @WarpeaceWar6 You seem to be saying that Apple helped MS to test Xbox? FYI, The processor is from IBM.

They sell only high-end machines and still sucks at 3D modelling; only recently Autodesk débuted in Macs.

My only concern is, that being the-so-called "intelligent" species on the planet; all Apple-fan-boys need to deflate their heads and accept OS X sucks, as much as Windows.

If all you people want is "Ooh-something-shiny," go for it.

And next time you see an Apple ad, try and spot the lies.

  • @nicknet18 maya has been on the mac for a few years now and its widely known that macs are better for design and graphics. Movies, photoshop, blender and even avatar were assisted by macs because of their great speeds at stuff like that. But oh well. I like OS X a lot, you like windows. I don't even get why you watched this video just to troll but oh well. I won't switch you to mac and i wont come back to pc. im bored, im tired, bii forever.

  • I like tacos.

  • the real question is when are you going to drop the boring, tired, lackluster fkin grey windows? they put me the fk to sleep.

  • Shittiest OS has to be the Mac OS.

I mean it's not compatible with most software, it only works with apple hardware and the GUI/command combination is absolutely horrible.

    GNU/Linux > Windows > Mac

  • @idricool thats not true i got mac running on my pc based computer its pretty compatible

  • @idricool "Mac OS" hasn't been on the market since 2001. Pretty obvious you don't have clue what you're talking about. OS X, the operating system has used since 2001, is a BSD based operating system.

"it's not compatible with most software"

As a PC user since 1985 and a Mac user since 2004, I can't think of any software that I can't run that I desire to on my Macs. O HHHHH, I bet you're a BIG BOY "Gamer" aren't you? In that case, enjoy your BIG BOY Windows PC!!!

  • @bibbler227 "O HHHHH, I bet you're a BIG BOY "Gamer" aren't you? In that case, enjoy your BIG BOY Windows PC!!!"

    how mature... just kidding.

  • a laptop/desktop is just that. They are NOT ipads. If i want to touch something, I'll go buy an Ipad. Leave the laptops/desktops alone Steve Blowjobs...

  • @ TheDevasia comment below

  • @TheDevisa Uuuuh yea not even kidding $99 bucks a month to be a apple developer and I have the latest beta version. I can also het the latest iOS software before it comes out right know my iPod is running iOS 5 :) look into it I'm not lying it's on the apple developer page

  • Yay for click and dragging scroll bars?

  • I have os x lion to (apple developer) its way better and has a nice look to it I hope you guys enjoy it

  • @MrGlockling lol ur a joke...

  • 21864 messages? Gee, I thought my Gmail was getting lean on space…

  • I'm so stoked for this.

  • I have Lion :D I got the developer's preview which is actually the same thing as Lion when it officially releases. My friend is a developer and hooked me up.

  • pc stands for personal computer retards

  • sympatycznie !

  • brian tong is a cool dude, just lose those nasty necklaces dude, ur too asian frail and short to be a gangsta

  • Full Screen, Wow!

Microsoft did full screen over 20 years ago. Apple has a lot of catching up to do.

  • @10p6 oh man, searches of macs files are instant. Windows has a lot of catching up to do if people with i7's don't want to be outperformed by a macbook air in the os

  • @WarpeaceWar6 what?

  • @angelxsid i don't even know. but i think it was good

  • ahh. the Expose feature was revamped. AHAHAHA. FINALLY. but how can we show the Command + Tab on the screen with just the touchpad?

  • That's really cool. Want it *_*

  • Well, a Mac is a computer for personal use yes, but the term PC is not used by Apple, they use, well, Mac.

  • @SOARteamCoD They had a point when they used PowerPC processors, but now they use Intel chips just like WIndows or Linux machines. From a hardware standpoint, there is no difference between a Mac, Windows or Linux personal computer. You can run any of them on any piece of hardware (though Apple don't like you installing OSX on non-Apple hardware).

  • @RajahBrooke you are not completely right. Only the processors are the same, the rest of the hardware is probably different. A Mac hardware fits its operating system...consuming less battery for example. Both the hardware and software view o point make difference, and thats what makes a Macbook a better laptop. And i am not even considering design, weight, hardware quality (they use the same hardware, so less bugs with drives etc). It is a better laptop in many aspects, sorry.

  • @maristonrox the point still stands that you can run Linux and Windows natively on recent Macs - certainly there are tweaks to OSX to take advantage of the smaller amount of hardware it can legally run on, but you can install OSX on most normal PC's - though it can be a bit buggy. There is nothing inherently unique about Macs; they are just excellently engineered PCs. You wouldn't say a Toshiba wasn't a PC because it has different hardware and architecture to a Dell.

  • @RajahBrooke Yes, you are totally right in everything you just said.

  • How can doing a multi touch gesture be time consuming when it loads straight away?? I don't get it.

  • @meandreww it means you will play it all the time.. just the way a fun games consume your time.. :D

  • Thumbs up if you use Alfred™ instead of Spotlight :D

  • Pretty impressive.

  • I've been using the OSX Lion preview, and I have to say the best feature I've seen so far is Mission Control. It's definitely my favorite feature out of all of the new ones on OSX Lion- and it's way more useful than expose (which was already very useful).

  • Dont like this, i want it to work like a mac, not a big Ipad.

  • @threpublikofmancunia stfu man. They only said that for more gestures which is incredible and full screen which took long enough. this has nothing to do with ipad. Apple just said that to try and get the 30 million people that use the ipad to switch to mac

  • How is pinching in and out time consuming? I don't agree on this one.

  • so that means i gotta buy a magic trackpad for my imac to use these Multitouch Gestures :P

  • I just love apple products, haters stop hating, I am a pc guy as well, but for productivity, taste, and best features, leave it to a mac, it is easier and you get more things
