in a way a kinda agree with you. but if he had a compression sustainer it would clean it right up. most amps need them to accually have a good clean tone.
@leapinlonzo - Pointless video. The guy can only play a simple chord over and over again, the guitar is out of tune and the sound quality is low so one can not tell the quality of the amp.
amp head is $2000 and the matching cabinet is $1000 i haven't heard it through any other cabinets but i'd say you'll pay around $1000 for a good match (mesa, orange, bogner, and marshall) cabinets are very nice cabs so those would be ones to check out but i personally would just match it with the mesa cab because it brings out the bass in the amp
eventide sounds good on everything lol but tc electronics would be a great multi effects unit to throw in the mix like a g major 2 or even a g system if money isn't a factor again they make incredible delay and chorus
umm if money isn't a factor than the best amp i could recommend is a fuchs overdrive supreme it can do everything and i mean everything. it has more gain on tap than just about any amp i've heard great for blues and rock and has one of the best clean sounds i've heard EVER and i hardly use clean settings but that amp made me wanna start doing it check out some videos on here they run about $3,000 for one
@brandon5pennies Wow thank you so much for the recommendation. In fact I checked a store and they say the've got them in stock around 3 grand. Will have to check them out. Lol I remember when a good guitar was the only imporatant thing in a gig........< Thanks again. I was wondering if you have any idea how a multi effects would sound on the fuchs / Like eventide or Boss. Thanks
Is that a Marshall AVT50 half-stack in front of the god-like Mesa Boogie? I have one of the Marshall's and I would love to sell it to get money to put towards a Mesa.
Man thanks alot for playing the amp clean because so many people demo amps purely on distortion and you cant hear what the amp is capable of. By the way what kind of guitar is that. It looks like a pure BEAST. I have never been too much of a Mesa Boogie fan but seeing this current amp is really causing me to reconsider and take a closer look. Holler at your boy!
EQ is really for shaping your sound. Guitar and bass amps use their own frequencies, and each have their respective "sweet spot," and EQ allows you to find that perfect sound. But EQ is something that can take hours, days, weeks or even years to really understand and master.
hmm okay well in that case, to each his own. i'm sure John Petrucci (i assume by JP you mean John Petrucci) and i have different ideas of what a great clean sound is lol. i cant see him doing the whole '65 Twin reverb thing.
nice job going thru the various sounds, thanks for doing that. But that LTD guitar sounds horrible... what are those, EMG pickups? IMO your work would have been better served with a guitar with better natural tone to it...
I actually don't work there. I'm just a customer. They got it in earlier that week, only like 4 days or so. And I've never played a real MKIIC+ either. Sorry.
Hi Roger! Great demo man, I enjoyed it. I own this amp, got mine from Huber & Breese, and so far, I absolutely love it! How long have (did) you guys have yours in stock? If I had of known that you guys had one in, I would have paid ya,ll a visit (you,re closer) Also, there is so much talk about how this amp,s 3rd channel modes measure up to the oringinals. I,ve never player any; if you have, can you comment on that? Thanks!
Is that a blackface rectifier on top of a Bugera cab? If so, HERESY!!!

I have a dumb question, does the EQ change the sound at all because ive heard theres not much difference in the switching
lolkittensomega 2 years ago
it does alotmof change because you are changing the frecuencies of youre sound

Must be intonation, his G chord is in tune but some other chords had some sour notes :l
gtarman8d 2 years ago
the g string was flat that sometimes happens when i play the E chord a while the g string sounds better flat but only for that chord

what's that tune he plays at like 6:00 when he says "go to tweed mode and now you have a little breakup"??

i'm pretty sure the lonestar is the best clean tone mesa's aver made. pretty sure.
aksnowman11 2 years ago
Yeah lonestar was mesa's answer to "Mesa clean tones suck" haha
PapaKenny777 2 years ago
The MkV's clean is actually better than the Lonestar. Even JP's tech said that JP said it was the best clean he's ever heard outta Mesa.

First off, its a 7-string, so its not an 81. Secondly, they're EMG-HZs... they're passives.
