Is this the church next to emerson high school i loved that church I went to emerson when I was a teenager it was the only good part about mt vernon. And good choice of song.

Wow i just frlt like i needed to warch this one more time.. i havent seen this since they put it up...My unkle is the pastor and now the Church is way better they rebuilt it and i love it!! God bless

My great aunt and uncle got married there in the 40's or 50's. I was just down the street working at the library when the fire happened.

That was my church for 15 years but my church moved to a larger building 10 years ago.

the fire was hard to put out cause the building was rebuild 3-4 times in it's life and if you would look in some of the closets you can see the old roof when it was a one story building and when they added to it they lest all the tar paper it was a fire trap ...

I did speek with the Pastors son and he said they planned on rebuilding. I did see them doing some work on it a few weeks ago. There was a huge dumpster out front and people filling it up with the chared remains from inside the church.
