  • I would like it very much if urban explorers would give more history in their videos. It adds to the experience.

  • I wanna do some urban exploring this summer, but I don't know places around here :(

When I was younger, say 4 to 14 years, I always checked out building sites with my friends on weekends :P

  • SAFEA was a great place.

  • UER - every abandoned building in the world can be found on this site. UER.CA!

  • belgium has got so many abandoned places

  • its a beautiful factory ..interesting video :-)

  • cool place...

  • urban exploring is cool

  • really a stunning place!

  • Astounding.. beautiful.. forlorn. The music is a great touch, too. Truly, must 'favorite'!

  • There's so much of the world we don't even know about..

  • Bye Bye Safea, one of the last "victim" of Spaque... I also made some urban explortaion on my own during my spare times. I must say I often don't feel confortable and safe exploring alone the abandonned industrial places of Hainaut. Do you accept new comers or can you give me tips ?

  • cool video. I have to admit that I've been sceptical of using camcorder in urbex, but it seems to work just as fine as camera does!

  • whats the song it's fat!

  • Sorry this is a late reply, but it's Clint Manswell Feat. Kronos Quartet playing Summer Overture.

Good to see someone has put this awesome song on a suiting video.

  • I thought it was called Requiem For a Dream? please let me know if that is right

    Sincerely, B.C.

  • Indeed, the soundtrack comes from the movie "Requiem for a dream". Composer: Clint Mansell.

  • I wish i could do some UrbEx, but there's no abandoned buildings or bridges handy near my house...and i have the infiltration skills of a M1A1 Abrams.

  • lol thats pretty good( does that mean u can crash through a wall), unless u r trying 2 b stealthy

  • No, a M1A1 is obviously large and possibly noisy.

  • And the fact that there's no abandoned buildings to UrbEx in. (Dang strip malls and condos!)

  • what did they manufacture there?

  • SAFEA stands for "Société Anonyme de Fabrication d'Engrais Azoté" which would be translated: "public company making nitrogenous fertilizers"

  • wow... and they just abandoned it? Also, wouldn't there be poisenous fumes if thats what they were making?

  • It stayed abandoned for 30 years. They demolished everything in 2006. Now they have to spend so much to clean the grounds and de-pollute everything!

  • You would be surprised if you knew how much places like this in Belgium are abandoned.

  • this is some good footage! i love it! you should try to steady your camera. it would make it even better! love it!

  • that place looks creepy, but i bet that was fun!

  • Beautiful...

When was the factoy used the last time?

  • 1978! Incredible to see how well preserved it was uh?

  • Yeah, really impressive!

Did you find it just randomly?

  • No, it was well known

  • Truly Magnificent.

  • thanks :-)

  • whats SAFEA

  • SAFEA stads for "Société Anonyme de Fabrication d'Engrais Azoté" wichi would be translated: "public company making nitrogenous fertilizers"

    5 stars for vid

  • Beautifull music, beautifull film

    Magnificent video!!!! Elvira from Italy

  • what music was used for the soundtrack of this video? great job by the way

  • The soundtrack comes from the movie "Requiem for a dream". Composer: Clint Mansell.

  • nice place, ill video, and requiem for a dream was a very moving movie.

  • Very cool. Thank you.

  • Very beautiful. I've only explored a few places myself, none as interesting. It's only a matter of time, though.

  • Absolutely amazing, beautiful scenes, wonderful building. Love it. Urbex FTW.

  • Unfortunately, it is gone now, flat ground, what a shame...

  • THE SIZE OF THAT PLACE! we explored a factory about half that size a few months ago. completely untouched from last operation. the machines are the most interesting part!

  • thanks for sharing memory of that place with us! The beginning was superb, but the second soundtrack wasn't as good as the first one

  • bravo!

  • amazing video. so haunting

  • Very nice video. Intresting factory.
