I already collect the first 100 purple coins in the planet when the Luma unlocks the red star power but I haven't seen any mission on which I have to start looking for purple coins. What do I have to do to have the purple comets appear? I have already got 81 stars.

I'm pretty sure you have to beat bowser first and when you start the game again after you beat bowser the comets should appear. but i haven't played the game in a while so i may be wrong
