  • This sounds more 8-bit then 16-bit

  • @RyuHoshi101 And it true...

  • This sounds closer to the arcade version

  • You must defeat sheng long to stand a chance.

  • Wait, wasn't the Mega Drive Version called "Champion Edition" and not "Turbo?" My Genesis version is called CE.

  • there is SF 2 Turbo for Sega Genesis Megadrive also

  • There was a prototype that was unreleased called "Street Fighter II Turbo" on the Mega Drive. But they decided to scrap it and port just the "Champion Edition" arcade game.

Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter Champion Edition are the exact same game.

"Turbo" what what it was called on the Super NES. But the arcade machine, TurboGrafx-16, and Mega Drive, were all called Champion Edition.

However, "Super" Street Fighter II was called the same thing on all of its console ports.

  • Not quite. Street Fighter C.E. for the Genesis is a port of the arcade Street Fighter C.E., which was basically SFII with playable bosses and some balance tweaks. The Genesis equivalent of Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting is Special Championship Edition. This was before the days of wide multiplatform release, and stuff like this happened on a regular basis.

  • @alflord4000 No, the game was not called Turbo on the genesis. The genesis version of Turbo was called "Special Champion Edition"

  • maybe in your country, I don't know

    this is turbo beta

  • @alflord4000 No, Turbo and Special Champion Edition were the same game. Turbo, was released on the SNES, and Special Champion Edition was released on the genesis. If you don't believe me, check wikipedia.

  • @AndehX no there was super street fighter II for the genesis turbo and special champion edition turbo and super were not as good in my opinion :P

  • @AndehX this is a dif version. Never released officially. Musically superior to all others. Listen to the champion edition version sounds like trash compared to this.

  • @AndehX There was a Street fighter 2 Turbo for the Genesis, but it only was a beta version. What ended up coming out was the Special Champion Edition."

  • @greg1184 thats what i was saying. Turbo on the genesis, was Special Champion Edition.

  • @AndehX

I have StreetFighter 2 turbo: Championship edition.

  • @hungoversundays it isnt called "Turbo" on the genesis. It's called "Special Champion Edition" which again, is different from the "Champion Edition"

  • @brtshstel Champion edition was actually developed later. This was intended to be released alongside the snes sf2turbo.

  • @Luigi84289 That's what I was thinking. The SNES Turbo is just like Champion Edition.

  • @brtshstel yes, there is no turbo on the genesis. "Special Champion Edition" is the genesis version of Turbo.

  • THE PIPES ARE BROKEN!!!

  • 1:46 no no comeon one more hit!!!!! HADOUKEN!!! OORAA OORA OORA!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's when you gotta pull out the Shoryuken or Flying Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku.

For me, the fight usually ends like this...

    "HUAH!!" (Overhead Throw) "UUUUWAAAAAAH!!" (WHAM!)

    YOU WIN! (Music fades away)

  • Ryu's theme never changes. I always thought ryu's theme was alway good on all of the standard street fighter games.

  • Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku is pronounced:

    TATS'-MAK'-SENPUU-KYAK'!

  • its TATSUMAKI SEPUU KYAKU!!!!! it's just that the japanese don't sound out the u sometimes it's silent most of the time. but not for shoryuken and hadouken
