It's amazing that CCR still kicks the crap out of any of the junk that passes for "music" today.

It's also amazing how this song is really about Vietnam, but that people have either forgotten, or did not grow up in that era, and now think it's a song just about the rain.

The movie that went with this song was better. "Good men through the ages trying to find the sun".

The movie depicts a drug dealing dirty cop and a vietnam vet finaly at home in the USA marching to his death.

From what I remember The two clashed in their attempt to find their day in the sun-

With Nick Nolte's Character tragically and fatally wounded marching to an old army song on the railroad tracks to nowhere.
