My father handed me some hot wheels for my first time ever when I was around 5, I didnt play with any of the rest, for some reason I kept playing with the porsche 911 hotwheel that I had. For some reason it was the most appealing to me. Once I get my bachelors in Financial Accounting and my CPA, I know I will afford one of these. Beautiful Car, take care of it :)
@MrBruce1337 I'm actually thinking of switching my major to Accounting or a Financial type major. I had a TON of toy cars growing up but the little red Ferrari with a big Ferrari Scud shield on it was my favorite. Sadly, no Porsche's were in the collection of toy cars. If I go with Accounting, pass the CPA, and get a good job that pays well; then I will defiantly set aside money for either a Targa 4s or a little red 348 Ferrari. (Probably the Porsche =) )
@TheGrahamDillon Ye's I already have my AS in Business, and I have some decent job opportunities, but I would love to continue my education, I am taking another semester of accoutning, and economics. Accounting gets quite confusing, and literally breaks ur body down, but makes u a better critical thinker, and better with numbers. My choice will most likely be to go the finance route, more potential money to be made, easier, funner, and u learn more about saving, and investing.

@TheGrahamDillon yeah the university I will be attending is about a 35-40 min drive away, im planning on going twice a week, so prolly morning till afternoon, possibly even at night, that way I dont have to drive to much back and forth. My advice would be to stick with what u think ud like, most ppl like finanace, also teaches u life skills, u kno wen to spend and wen to save, and how to manipulate money.
This car is just amazing... too bad the new 997 (Generation II) doesn't sound like this even though it is faster and better handling. This 2007 Targa 4S is just what a Porsche should sound like... the 997-2 doesn't have that razor rasp at the end and sounds less Porsche-like.
I wonder if the car in this video is equipped with the Porsche Sports Exhaust System (PSE) or if this is just the normal sound of the 2007 Targa 4S... can anyone tell?
There is something magical about a Porsche. I have had a love affair with Porsches since I was a kid. A young man in the neighborhood had a light brown 912 that got me started. Even though I am always on my soapbox wanting Americans to buy USA made goods, I would have a Porsche in a heartbeat. The 60's aircooled Porsches are my favorite. So, all of you out there who are lucky enough to own one and drive one on a daily basis, take a spin for me.
did you guys ever drove it with tiptronic?? its just as good as manual. porsche is not just made for a race track. if you wonna go to work and do some shopping you would prefer automatic gearbox. but when you wonna put some acceleration just flick the handle to the left and you've got yourself a monster.) its just as good.
@frankie827 Tiptronic is for changing between the fully automatic gearchange and half manual half automatic ( flickers on the steering wheel ) PDK is a different car part. you can have a tiptronic with a PDK.
@frankie827 when we were getting our targa 4s we didnt have an option of PDK coz we ordered it in 2008. Gen 2 on the other hand allready got PDK as an option.
pfffffff 997 with tiptronic gearbox what a waist!!!!!! you'd better buy a bentley continental and show off as u like. porsche are made for performance let its reputation safe
yeah, i would rather have a manual gearbox than the tiptronic... but if you are someone who isnt a professional race car driver and still wants to be badass in a badass car tiptronic is the way to go.
i found it relatively intuitive. it seems to adapt to how you want to drive once you get used to it and start make smooth control inputs

It wasnt my intention to tell the world I own a Porsche...I thought to talk to a community of Porsche-drivers...I thought such videos are only commented by true friends and owners of Porsche vehicles...I tried hard to own my first Porsche...and then I get a minus because I state that i own one...I did not calculate the envier attacking all others

there is no need to own a Porsche to be a fan of this car...I adore the Supermarine Spitfire fighter plane and guess what...I dont own one...;o) so it should not be the question: what can I afford to own ? It should be would I like to own...without any envy against people who had the chance I never had. Just because I cant afford to own a Spitfire fighter-plane does not mean I hate all people who own one of these wonderful birds...however I am glad not all people watching that video are unhappy

@Setuber this car does not have the sport exhaust. That can be identified by two smaller exhaust tips.
PS: I have a Targa, and I should have never driven the Turbo, because that's all I want! :)
