@LeeMbarrett HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must admit when I saw the intro to Highway for the very first time, I thought it was some futuristic hi-tech game show, not a boring hymn show aimed at old-age pensioners!!!!
As a Kid I used to dread hearing the theme tune to this Programme in the early 80's and reason is because everytime it came on it was the dreaded sign that confirmed to me that it was Sunday evening, the weekend was over and I had to be up early for School in the Morning. So everytime that Theme tune came on a hot lead would leak into my Stomach :-D
WOW!! Sunday UK TV in the 1980s was so depressing. If the thought of going to school the next day was'nt bad enough. Great to see this show again tho!!!
@andyknox I can remember being at my grandparents house when this started, about 5? and knowing that we were going home, Nan getting their tea's ready etc!!
This was on ITV before or after Bullseye!! ?? I remember seeing this at my grandparents house, I remember Credo as well.

I used to love this programme when I was a child, I really cannot remember why now, but every week on sunday evenings it was the highlight for me.

I always thought the theme tune sounded so exciting-the actual programme was far from it!

I agree, would often watch the beginning based on the exciting theme tune totally forgetting that the programme was actually rather dull.

See just how much Sunday evening programmes on ITV have changed since Highway finished in 1993.They have changed quite a lot since then.

Lol.Yup for me Bullseye on Sunday afternoon was the cut off point before abject depression set in at the prospect of going to school the next day
