  • :O is this a normal pine tree???

  • @Mr420rush Looks like a White Japanese Pine tree but, you can make a bonsai looking like that with almost any kind of pine tree, just get some pine seeds from wild pine trees and plant some in diferent pots.. then when it becomes adult just give it shape with wire :D

  • @FranciscoSRO2 Thanks for the response! (: I think I am going to make one out of a juniper, I heard they are really hardy, and I love the smell of them so much.

  • @Mr420rush :D im thinking to make one with Acer palmatum Osakazuki Its a japanese maple with leaves that turn bright red in atumn.amazing, but I heard it's flowers are not fertile.. this means i wont be able to buy true original seeds (100% pure) of that cultivar type. The best maples for me are Osakazuki and Deshojo =D

Im doing lots of research, I found that you need lots of grit, gravel or coarse sand, some coconut fibers and slow release fertilizer pellets to pines and junipers..

  • @Mr420rush

    Juniper

    • 20% Akadama, loam or fine-medium granular structure • 20% Organic medium moss (bark, peat etc) • 60% Drainage medium (sand, pumice, grit)

    Pine

    • 20% Akadama, loam or fine-medium granular structure • 30% Organic medium moss (bark, peat etc) • 50% Drainage medium (sand, pumice, grit)

Some soil recipes i found :D

  • @FranciscoSRO2 Umm... it says in the description that it's a scots pine :)

  • I appreciate the patience. Great Job.
