  • the video looks 1080p in 3D thats amazing.how much for the camera?LOL:)

  • Very impressive, I like it

  • lalalala

  • Video is not working! Audio, but no picture!

  • great video quality

  • a kerambit wielder will never show his/her kerambit...

  • Isn't it god to have these videos so we might learn smth to stay alive when we meet the psycho? :)

  • are karambits double edged?

  • Some are.

  • if u buy one that is :D. 3 month old comments eh :| i recon i told you what u alraedy know but i gotta try :D

  • well the true style karambit are, the single blade ones are still karambit but not original style.

the karambit its limited alot more when its single edged, you cant do about 40 percent of the moves without a double edge lol.

otherwise i guess a different style needs to be emposed :D

then again thats my honest oppinion.

  • @Gir200 no just the back edge is thick and when you swing that thing its gonna hurt

  • @FORSAKEN053 actually there are some karambits that have both sides sharpened.

  • @RenmarStriff yeah but most of the time they arent but your right there is

  • If it wasn't posted before, I just wan't to say this stuff is naturally brillant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Watching any athlete or expert can make the techniques they use look easy. The fact they show these videos are not necessarily for the average psycho to use on unsuspecting civilians, but to display martial arts (PTK/ Kali) and military technique.

  • i think you have a valid point.

but in this particular video he is showing stuff for highly technical martial artists. this guy is no slowch hes showing skills that require serous knowledge and athletic attributes.

besides that. Any sociopath can pick up an edged weapon ad kill an average unarmed person. you dont need to know kali to kill multiple unarmed untrained persons with a weapon.

  • Well, what he's demonstrating is a combat system, not a self defense form. And showing it on youtube really doesn't matter much. The people that are interested in the technical skill demonstrated in this video just want the knowledge. Someone inclined to actually go out and kill someone doesn't need the video, since it takes no training to stab someone. Violent people will act violently, video or not.

  • @ender1260 well this is also training for military who do need it, not with the intention of killing people but just with the intention of surviving if in worst case they end up in close range

but yeah mainly it is just for practitioners of Kerambit

  • fail troller

  • Does anyone know what kind of Karambit this guy uses?

  • cutters knife/tool hossom dionaldo

  • Thanks.

  • he has a good plo

  • WOW! Ray Dionaldo is a master of the blade!

He makes me proud of my Filipino heritage.

Personally I prefer non-armed combat. (i.e Muay Thai), since I don't go around carrying a knife.

  • Tuhon is silky smooth- no choppy movements, very nice!

  • Excellent lesson bring on more!

  • I hope the kerambit use in this demo video was blunt edge.

It freak me out, when he swing it to that white guy...

  • the digging into the shoulder blade/ultimate come-along move made me shiver. that would be really nasty if someone did that.

  • agreed, but then again - one should one use kerambit in a life or death situation. I think its better to dig it into your opponents shoulder and control him than to get killed yourself. But thats just me..

  • yup, even if you can proove you were the one attacked, killing people just isn't smart from a leagal standpoint. however, locking up their hands or digging into a bone is a great method, and you still keep the killing blows as emergency alternatives.

  • such a nice weapon.

    LOL overkill!

  • that "extended grip" doesn't look like something to trust in a real situation.

even so, this guy has nice flow.

  • It's a pretty cool weapon but it's not very easily concealable and when your attacker sees is, do you really think he will allow to get close? Hell nah! Well, I guess that in itself will scare them off avoiding an encounter alltogether.

  • nah, man

you keep it hidden until hes close enough.

also, if the area around you is dark and your blade is black powder coated or painted black its pretty likely he wont even see it.

the majority of knife attack victims don't even realize their attacker was useing a knife until they were being cut

  • no, using it to murder someone or attack someone when not in self defense is illegal

  • Hi!

Really impresive!! You should have a look to Maul65, he has also really good techniques!

    Take care

  • Amazing. Nice demo

  • I just do have to admire this man.

  • says the guy from south park...

  • I wanna see you say that again while he digs that kerambit into your shoulder blade like he did at 00:53.

  • nice video!

  • Yeah, you have a curvy knive thingy and I'm gonna move in with my bare hands.

  • not really, if we sharpened a bamboo.. it still cuts, but it isn't a knive.. u can do everything like he did with a knive rather than kerambit but the impact is less.. that's the point using a kerambit than a knive..

  • accept for the fact that a karambit if for gutting people, straight blades dont gut the same

  • I've trained with the kerambit since I was 14 (since I come from a place where the weapon originated), and I respect his approach with regards to the weapon. Quite innovative, in a sense, but most of it are already known to natives who actually train with the kerambit. Come over to Malaysia or Indonesia, even some parts of the Philippines you'll see what I mean. I am not criticising. I applaud this.

  • This guy has great hands! I like it a lot.

I think the Karambit is a cool, exotic, NASTY weapon. I have no scruples against carrying one on me, but everything he did with the Karambit I can do with a knife.

    But he does move good!

  • No he's just taken the direction of weapon to a new path. His movements are more circular and he moves his weapon and his passive hand more around his targets body then using his footwork. He seems to move his legs in only a forward motion; allowing his upper body to angle in and around his target. I love that approach. Once you're inside, you should always control the attackers space and push them off balance. Thank you

  • rumble

  • Tuhon Ray has taken the Karambit to a whole new level. It will take years for anyone just to catch up to what he is teaching now...

  • Salaam Alaikum, the mother art of silat is inside as well as outside fighting the kerambit is a tiger claw weapon... from a tiger art.. this aspect is clearly inside entry the soft gate as we call it, he does not disengage.. guru ray is clearly well inspired in his movement the flow is beautiful and effective, praise the source of all inspiration...
