  • d black mac book and white are the same right cause most tutorials for ram is the white mac book. i have a ram with me and im having a black mac book and i wanna put the chip in NOW

  • does that like fc*k your waranty?

  • No, changing the amount of RAM doesn't viod your warranty at all.

  • dont buy your memory from apple, you can get some cheaper and same quality with other stores

  • Mac overprices their memory...

  • Install it yourself. Find some online and install it yourself ;)

  • beautiful. my eyes are watering

  • This video is too short. By the way, you're not supposed to take the screws out of the bracket at all. I found a better video on here that was longer and more informational.

  • ...yes you are, thats how you get it off the access the ram slots.

  • I think me meens loosen them so they are still in the bracket but not 100% out and u can still get it off.

  • Very useful video!

  • no but it has to be of a higher quality ram, generics seldom work well in macs, the timings are all off

  • can u only use apple ram in a mac?

  • you can use any type of ram that is the same type as apples. i suggest newegg(dot)com for some help, they have a few brands that are all in a specific section for "apple notebook ram". Meaning they'll work for sure.

  • watch out because the screws can totally come out. also, if you don't want to kill your fingers trying to put the ram in all the way, just slip them in place and then use the bracket to seat them.

  • yes, the screws are "captive" to the metal bracket.

  • Awesome vid

  • I think the best brand of RAM quality and price wise is www.otherworldcomputing.com

  • Thats not very Apple-like to have to make you unscrew something like that. Are the screws at least attached to that metal plate?

    Thanks R.

  • What kind of ram did u use...specs, brand etc..please!

    Awesome vid!

  • check crucial.com its the best price and quality
