In the late-'70s I worked for the Bomp! record label / Bomp! Record store on Laurel Canyon Blvd, North Hollywood.. Nikki & The Corvettes used to rehearse at night in the back. Devo, Iggy Pop, Flamin' Groovies, Josie Cotton, and The Romantics recorded for our label. Blondie, The Damned, Talking Heads, The Ramones, Dead Boys, Cheap Trick, and countless others made the pilgrimage to Bomp! We published a popular R&R magazine, too.

Bomp! was the coolest place to work in the days when Punk Ruled..
