  • my fave song! ageless.. ♥♥

  • MARAVILLOSA!!!!

  • ageless and forever.......like this

  • I didn't cry....I didn't cry... - Hides under blanket.-

  • wonderful...

  • this was my parents song when they got married.

they would have been married 29 years last September.

my mom committed suicide in June...

i'm going to record this song for my channel.

  • @sexymusicsweetheart Hugs to You, Cindy

  • My mom loves this song idk why she asked me to play this song on my ipad2 I received for Christmas but its pretty good!!

  • This song was actually written lyrically by Paul Williams and composed and recorded by Barbara.

  • This song reminds me of sitting in a small screened in porch at the K & K mobile home park in Bradenton Florida on highway 41 when I had just graduated from High School at Gull Lake Michigan. It came on this tiny transistor radio and it has always stayed with me.

  • I love this song so much,My dad had the album when I was small and Also reminds me of my mother she passed when I was 15 yrs old now I'm 38 but I still think of her:)

  • Barbra wrote this song!

  • I will always think of my Mom when I hear this song since it was her favorite of all time. I really miss her.

  • @PaulMax1957 My mom and dad had this song at their wedding. My mom died in September and I miss her too.

I am sorry you miss your mom. I am glad you have this song to feel her close to you.

  • @SeekingSerenityOne Thank You Serenity. My condolences on your loss. As time goes by the pain of losing her will subside and as long as you have the memories of your Mom, she will always be with you in spirit. Please take care.

  • wow what a powerful singer

  • when all of the trees are in bloom with its flowers f laundering their beautiful colours, the evergreen just stood still behind and besides them, being just stared upon, and unnoticed. when autoum begins, and leaves begins to wither, there she stood tall, ageless and EVERGREEN...thank you journy2earth

  • I luv Barbara..Please check and comment on my from the heart version of this classic!!!

  • Super song from my heart

  • Barbra's best, especially that haunting swell at the end...short but sweet, like Barbra herself, I'm sure.

  • This is how music should sound, pure, simple and wonderful!

  • this was my parents wedding song :3

  • I was very young when this first came out still just as great today as back then, Love ya Barbara!

  • i agree with elrynx2. people are always putting their age . "like "im only such and such and i really like this" SO Whay! what does that have to do with liking music. Im only such and such and I like mozart, billie holiday, etc. Who cares.

  • 14 years old and I wish all music sounded like this.

  • @Preppyme22

You seem like you are very mature!

  • Take that. Lady Gaga.

  • This is my favorite ….. song. It really moves me every time I hear it.

  • This is what we call music.........

  • there is something so incredibly sad about this song - what is it??

  • @papaslam I believe it's so sad because it should be 'so simple' yet.........it's so hard to find!

  • @SandyAbate find it first in your heart, and settle it later, after so much thought, you will get tired, and it will be just passing shadow that invades your person... good luck

  • NO ONE CARES HOW OLD YOU ALL ARE.

  • @elrynx2 . You are a hateful little troll. Get back under your bridge.

  • @tomcamp6023 A troll would probably denounce the content of the music, Barbra, or fans. I am not denouncing anything or anyone...yes, not even her fans. Barbra is right to have millions of fans and they are right to be fans... It is completely logical and carries no shame...yet people like to think they are somehow a head above the rest for being young and liking a legend...when the truth is they are not and shouldn't be looking to boast, albeit in the most stupid of ways.

  • @elrynx2 I agree with you what does good music have to do with age. Music is for the people young, old, rich poor.

  • This was played at my wedding 29yrs ago.Love it:)

  • i am 49..this song brings back good memories

  • Essas seis pessoas que disseram que não gostaram devem ser "surdas" com toda a certeza!

  • I am 50 now,so I was about 16 when this was released,if memory serves,& I recall going to the cinema with my older sister to see the film for her b/day.So many guys left the cinema with 'dust' in their eyes, lol, muttering about how smokey & dusty the place was.Not me,I was unashamedly proud of my tears.Stunning film, fantastic acting from Streisand & Kristofferson & the BEST title track EVER to a movie. In fact,I gotta listen to it again, lol.Sorry neighbours!

  • @popazz1 Agree totally......and I am 50 too. Kris Kristofferson.......Mmmmm! The ultimate bad boy? loser but a softie inside. Gorgeous. The piano scene,' Lost inside of you' so romantic, sexy, sensitive. too many other good bits to mention. If you love this film, do you like Yentl? If you don't know it,go and have a watch. Streisand on top form again, romance, good story, humour.

  • @liz29ize ,

Ah,to be honest, there isn't a single part of the album or film which I would bitch about.I know this was the 3rd re-creation of "A Star Is Born",the Judy Garland/James Mason version being the other 1 I recall, but the Stresiand/Kristofferson remains my favourite."Woman In The Moon","With One More Look At You","Lost Inside Of You",ALL amazing.Oh,& sure,I know "Yentl" One of her finest movies."Papa,Can You Hear Me?" Streisand reigns supreme!

  • oh, how i love this song. i remember i was still in my elementary years when this was a big hit. we were all singing this song. everytime i hear this reminds me of the places, faces and all that goes with it. i wonder where are my elementary friends now?

  • @enerozag --- tried searchng for them on Facebook ?

  • It sound like and Angel came down from Heaven and sang a song and dissapeared afterwards.

  • I had a love like this but my insecurities raged tearing the relationship apart. Scott I LOVE YOU AND I AM SO VERY SORRY.

  • @MsNurse2011 oh so sad tell him wat u told us

  • @MsNurse2011 ,

So sorry for you,but surely if he has a heart he'll forgive whatever it was you did! Hope the wound heals!

  • I like so much this song, the lyric is poetry. Love´s poetry

  • This song is going to be one of my fiance's and mine wedding songs. It is a beautiful and timeless song and she has such a wonderful voice.

  • It's like a lyrics used by Salbakuta... (Stupic Love)

Anyway the song was recorded in 1976...

  • It's like a lyrics used by Salbakuta...

Anyway the song was recorded in 1976...

  • EVERY TIME I EAR THIS SONG I THING I'LL BE IN LOVE FOREVER :)

  • Im 12 years old and what is this?

  • @kavudx it's a classic love song by Barbara Streisand (1976).

  • @kavudx 10 thumbs up to your comment, but i can only give you 1!

    ha ha, priceless.

  • our love soft as an easy chair ...evergreen it never died and like the rose it came back to life and our love is in full bloom and beautiful vibrant ...Oh hunny we may have lost 35 years but our love is awesome you are awesome i loved laying helpless in your arms thank you my love for never giving up on us i love you Babe R.

  • R. Our love, unbelievable, yet it is so real. Like a rose under the April snow, it lays there dormant for awhile, but it is still beautiful, still has the color in it, the snow melts away, the rose comes back to life ever so more beautiful than before. The fragrance is still there, it is still pleasing to the eye. Our love, it's like an evergreen. The word speaks for itself. Never dying. Always alive. You & me hunny are like them both. I love you. J.

  • i sing this song when i was 5 and this is my favorite one..i remember the Memories:]

  • @Borecleaner1 She and her songs epitomize compassion and brotherhood and love...as do her politics! The themes of her touching songs reflect belief systems in her politics--diversity as a good thing being an example.

  • Wonderful song. touch me.

    Thank you for share

    Sylvia

  • What a beautiful song that you can understand clearly. Barbra Streisand is truly a class act.

  • This is my life. Thank you Barbara Streisand for this memorable song that will be with me till I die.

  • One of the most beautiful voices of all time.

  • hello gorgeous

  • That lake's got quite an algae problem.

  • Personally, I Thought The Both Of You Did Beautifully. And I Agree That Money Cannot Buy Happiness And That There Is A Time For Everything. But Think, If People Always Played By The Rules... Where Would We Be Today? Oh Yeah, I Can Be Deep.

  • Was, is, will there ever be another voice like this...? Barbara Streisand... Simply Angelic!

  • @Iwtchutube Love her music....Can't stand her politics though.she should stick with singing

  • @borecleaner1 fully agree here! My sister's Brother-in-law, a very successful builder in NYC, did some work on one of her homes few years back. He said she was the most difficult, uncooperative b--ch he's ever had to deal with in his entire profession. Wasn't surprised to hear that.

  • @Iwtchutube Additionally, he ended up quitting on her before finishing the work.

  • @Iwtchutube Didn't her old man used to do commercials selling mufflers?.He ought to bring one home and duct tape it to her pie hole...........hey,one can dream,eh ?.It annoys me that all of these ''celebrities''who have a gaggle of sycophants drooling at their every word, think that the world should bow down and marvel at the'' geopolitical wisdom that they spout. Most of these idiots don't know baby shit from applesauce about what they are speaking of..IMHO

  • Forget the video! It's the VOICE!!! You can UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD SHE SAYS!!!!!!

  • I am not a Streisand fan, but this song I love and generally her version is good, although I have never heard any covers...

  • (sigh) what a pretty dos

  • True, I despise Old Babsy, but that VOICE! You cannot deny the beauty of that voice. Easily one of my top five female voices right up there with Ella Fitzgerald and Karen Carpenter.

  • at least I didn't stoop so low to start insulting people. I read a quote the other day that beauty and youth will fade but character lasts forever. Meaning it's character that makes a person, not their age. Which I believe. And it doesn't take a life-time to realise that money doesn't buy happiness. Nor can it buy away someone's freedom of speech. If a denist or performer has something to say, they can say it. You're not paying for them to keep their mouth shut.

  • @BababoCopyrights One more time. Example- When Linda Ronstadt was escorted off the stage at the Aladdin Casino a few years back. People paid her to sing, not to listen to her political agenda. She was booed and told to leave the property by the casino's president. He said, " We live in a city where all people come from around the world to be entertained. We hired Ronstadt as an entertainer, not as a political activist." Understand the point now? A time and place for everything.

  • @chopperjack40 Yea I understand your point Chopper, I understood it the first time. We just disagree. But I wonder if you've tried to understand where I'm coming from?

  • you would never of thought she made this if you heard ''Duck Sauce''

  • Too bad a great song is song by a jew.

  • Thumbs up if you're here because of NintendoCapriSun

  • @lukerbom12 i was gonna say the EXACT same thing

  • @lukerbom12 Yeah. : P

  • This = Gusty Garden Galaxy. Calling it right now.

  • Even when I was very young I thought this song was beautiful.

  • Just beautiful.

  • Whenever I hear this song, I imagine myself I'm sitting on the green grass, together with the one I love, my husband. I feel relaxed and contented.

  • I remember once when I was so in love...1977/1978. I found him!

  • go to blackfriarsbird . see my version .Amature, but sung from the heart!!It is a truly beautiful song.

  • i remember when this was on the radio ALL the time in the 70's. they really truly do NOT record beautiful melodies like this anymore. everything is so vacuous and empty. this song is so beautiful

  • The four dislikes have obviously never even been close to being in love. This was played at my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary to a slideshow of thier most precious photos. It was amazing. =]

  • @xHanPanx Your post is truly beautiful! You're very fortunate to have grandparents that are still alive to celebrate their love, with their family.

  • @LAWoman323213 thank you so much, your comment back was really lovely and made me smile =]

  • im only 21 yrs old, never rly had like a serious relationship but i can already tell you that this is gonna be my future wedding song

  • @angitaly this was my parents wedding song

  • @angitaly im 20 and i completely agree with you

  • She holds that note for 20 seconds. Not that hard to do if you're a singer, but damned hard to do well. Babs does it like no one else, but that was then. Such a shame that age decays talent. True, she's lost some of her power & that hurts knowing what a powerful force she once was. In her prime, no one could touch her. I don't give a damn about her politics but still find what she has left talent wise, to be amazing. At her worst she's still better than most at their best

  • @stoicjello I have listened to 10 of thousands of female singers in my life and can honestly say that Barb is the best. Actually 2nd place is not even close, that is how great she is. It's Barbara then the rest...

  • @Blacknightsjester I must agree Barbara has an incredible voice, but to put her head & shoulders above any other female vocalist is going a bit too far, in my opinion(and i realise this is largely a matter of opinion) I think you should give Eva Cassidy a moment of your time, her version of Somewhere over the rainbow(one take,LIVE) is truly sublime, and lets not forget Karen Carpenter, if not the power that Streisand had, the sweetness and melody she had in her voice is surely unsurpassed

  • ageless talaga itong kantang ito, elementary pa lang naririnig ko na ito,the best!!!

  • Remids me when I was 12! So like liking boys! Having a lot of crushes!! Endless ones! Awesome lyrics by my friend Paul Williams! There is also the England version!!

  • Paul Williams wrote this with Streisand. It's a song about new love and was the theme to the 1976 remake of A Star Is Born. She also starred in the film and this song won the Academy Award for Best Song.

I just wish it were longer.

  • I heard this song every morning at 6 am, My father's alarm clock went off. the same radio station KMBZ AM Kansas City, Mo. At that time, 6 AM the song Evergreen by Barbara came on! I heard this song every morning for a few years! I have very special memories with this song. I love my Dad very much, and I am so lucky to still have him around!

  • a timeless classic...one of the most beautiful songs ever written.......

  • This is me and my wife for sure. I love her so much and I miss her so much it hurts..She is so wonderful and she taught me about real love.

  • I disagree; entertainers should embrace politics, because the generations of our youth will not embrace it unless their leaders do.

  • Best love song ever!!!

  • What a song x love it :)

  • I dedicate this 2 GOD

  • RIP MY DADDY X

  • Oh Boo Hoo, this song makes me cry its just so BEAUTIFUL

  • the best ballad ever....yea not a favorite of streisand"s .."thoughts" either ..haha....but wow....this is the best ....maybe Brolin ..is .."reeling" her in to reality hahaha.....thanks for posting this great song.....

  • Cuando escucho esta canción, puedo volar por los edificios, campos, mar y junto a los pajaros, pero lo mas lindo es que tú estas a mi lado para compartir. Alex Lima-Perú

  • yea I agree about the politics thing ...haha....but this is ...maybe...the most beautiful love song ever !! Please ...don't tell my friends I said something nice about Streisand ....hahahahahahahahaha

  • This was our wedding song 32 years ago yesterday, a beautiful song for a beautiful lady!

  • This song is so pretty.... Very hard song to sing ( I don't think I'll try to tackle this @ Kareoke).......

  • The song and the video are perfect together. Thank you so much. It was beautiful.

  • Beautiful song :D

  • This is beautiful, thank you! Really love the graphics, and the music and Barbra Streisand are of course wonderful.

  • The spring of 1977. Along came this beautiful song of hope. It`s still here.

  • There seem to be this misconception that if you love Barbara Streisand or her music, then you must be GAY!, nonsense,

i'm STRAIGHT, i love her because she has a beautiful singing voice, and this song has a beautiful melody.

  • This song evergreen was the first song I heard every morning, time to get up for school. the best memory ever!

  • This is my wife and I's wedding song from 1978!

  • Remembering this song in 1977....the year of struggling to make life better.

  • I remember a time when I was so in love....

  • @ThePixicat me too x

  • @ThePixicat I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED "LUCK OF THE DRAW", LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARY'S AND IS HAPPENS AT THE MOST ODD TIMES!

AS A MAN, I CAN STATE THAT, WJEN A WOMEN IS AT HER BEST SELF TOWARDS/WITH A MAN, THERE IS NOTHING BETTER ON THIS EARTH THAN THAT!

  • gracias al MAS REGIO DE ENSENADA, BCN; por dedicarme esta canción y por ser EL AMOR DE MI VIDA desde 1983...

  • This song gives me chills, always has. Such emotion in her voice.

  • I love the way Barbara sings Evergreen. Nobody can sing this song better than or as good as she!

  • So soft and beautiful!!

  • This is a beautiful and classic song.

  • One of the greatest vocal performances

  • Sana n I hope time won't change the meaning of LOVE

  • this is my favorite Barbara song......ty for the post......cheers

  • wonderful

  • Barbra's music is so meaningfull,my mum came through in spirit to tell me this was our song, xxx

  • i've had to many pints of lager right now, listening to this turns me into a blubbering wreck as it brings back so many happy memories,sa la vie.

  • What a voice. She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. She is truly a talent.

  • journey2earth, thanks for sharing your vid. and this love song........

  • on jonathon ross last night, she was as stunning as ever,a beautiful voice and a wonderful lady.

  • Classic 1970s love song.Simply beautiful.

  • All entertainers should keep politics to themselves...like Streisand. But this is one hell of a song.

  • Why?

  • @ILoveLauriePartridge I think she wrote another french song, back in the day...but that was a co-written song. This is her first SOLO composition.

  • @ILoveLauriePartridge they have as much right as anyone to talk politics, I don't like all, well most of her politics but this is more than one hell of a song

  • @clarkbailey1973 Sure they have the right to but not while they are performing and entertaining. I agree...it is a great song.

  • @ILoveLauriePartridge SOOOOOO TRUE

  • @ILoveLauriePartridge "There are some people who say you shouldn't mix politics and music, sports and politics. Well... I think that's kinda bullshit!" - Adam Clayton, bassist for U2

  • @CaitlintheMiller Tell us that when you are old enough to vote.

  • @chopperjack40 I don't see how age features into being aware of political issues.

  • @CaitlintheMiller No problem mixing it whatsoever. BUT...when you pay to watch an entertainer perform, that's when it stops. On their own time, they can push any agenda they want....but not when I'm paying the ticket for a performance.

  • @CaitlintheMiller Adam Clayton knows as much about the political issues he babbles about as I know about playing the bass...and that's the problem, sweetie

  • @ILoveLauriePartridge Is freedom of speech only applicable to you?

  • @Salsus2 go back and read previous comments.
