i hate how some people make sephiroth into a playboy model :S his charactor was not 1 % vain and when he wasnt trying to brutaly murder the whole planet ( which incidently in the whole game theres only about 3000 people in the world XD ) he was a hero figure to everyone..

@iSdtea I take that as an offence.No I played FF7 and the spin-offs ,also watched the anime video and all.I am a big fan and I even consider buying a ps3 just for the remake of ff7..That is if I have the money.Anyhow however I see it in all games Cloud been a little tiny bit of an emo.Cloud is the blonde and emo/pessimist version of Zack and clings to his "friends" to feel better/get strength.And Zack is quite similar to Angeal thou a bit more outgoing and optimist.

@Haikalis Actually Sephiroth is supposed to be the most powerful living thing in Gaia. (Even more powerful than the Weapons o__O) So idk what really happened in Nibelheim when Cloud threw him into the life-stream before Cloud even had any Jenova-cells in him. He was supposed to be weak then, yet still he does that to Sephiroth. And in the anime, Sephiroth is like "...Impossible..!" Like Cloud is the chosen one or something even though there isn't like a prophecy or anything in ff7.
@iSdtea Eh,no there I think you are wrong,not more powerful than the weapons,if you seen in game ff7 he is 50 level ,though quite more powerfull than the average 50 level character if I remember well.But weapons are stronger,'ive done some research and some weapons are stronger than the last bosses.Sephiroth tho became stronger when he merged with the lifestream,if I remember well.Also I sorta blame the massive sword backstab he received as to why Cloud managed to throw him off,
@iSdtea Thou throwing someone off isn't such a great accomplishment ,even people who their strength does not match/have difference can push or throw the other.I think that Sephiroth said impossible cause maybe he didn't expect such mental strength to do such thing after Cloud got stabbed?Not sure but in the research I did ,maybe are several flaws in story cause when they created the game they had hard time building the senario.Like Cloud being a part of Sephiroth.(Continue next post)

@Haikalis I never really played 10 or any of the subsequent games in the series. I've only played 1-9 (with the exception of 3 because I can't find that game anywhere in the stores) and I think I'll be sticking to them. Zidane is a good character though. FF9 is VERY underrated and I think that's really sad because it's so good. FF6 also has really good characters and it seems like people eighter have just forgot about this game or that newcomers just don't pick it up.
@iSdtea Personally I played ff1,ff7,ff8,ff9,ff10,ff10-2,ff12,ff13,ff tactics,ff-DOC ,ff-CC and the last two dissidias.Not that the last are rpg's exactly,more like DBZ games in FF style.I mostly wanted them because I was itching to fight as Sephiroth and wish they had Vincent in too.Laguna was awesome as well :)And yeah ff9 got underated.From 10 and after they started screwing up the game.I dislike/hate ff12 and ff13.They suck the most.They turned totally to graphics quality than story/gameplay.

For those of you who don't know and it has been answered so many times in the comments. The pic at 2:00-2:18 is of a wax statue of Sephiroth in the floor of the Square Enix Store in Tokyo,Japan. Just search it on youtube. Some people posted videos of their visit there already.

Sephiroth believed he was special since he was a little child as he said. So take this God-Complex and add it with extra terrestrial mako infused super-human cells and you ll get your mass murderer. Did you know that Sephiroth and Vincent were actualy gonna be females from the start... its a fact but they changed it in the middle of making the game wich im truly greatfull of :D
they were going to (spoilers)(ff7spoilers) give him female contours when his preserved body would reveal at the northern crater, despite that everyone would be under the impression he was a man.
To be honest i kinda like that idea, given he felt like such an outcast to the rest of the human race, and went on to hate them.
You can see jenova kinda looks like a 'unisex' (forget the real word) as well (though she doesn't reproduce).
Sephiroth didn't do anything "bad" so much himself as it was just him working for shinra. Shinra was corrupt and he fought their wars for them.
So the point is the jury would obviously be out on anything shinra did, or any of their wars. Clearly people were already mad in game when there were resistances and discontent the world over

um...they cared enough to take Jenova's cells and place them inside Sephiroth while he was yet to be born, then while Sephiroth was in the Shinra Mansion, found out about this experiment, and went crazy, hating the world, wanting to use it as his vessal across the cosmos'
@drakorath i may need a refresher on this but to the best of my knowledge, sephiroth believed that his "mother" owned this world (jenova) because she came to the earth from the sky. is that not why he ripped her out of that reactor? like i said i haven't played the game in a good 6 years but i thought i had a good grasp on the story from playing is 3 or 4 times.
Just because he's a war hero doesn't mean he's reverred the world over either, or that everyone is 100% complacent about things including himself. Do you not know anything about the wars going on now in REAL LIFE?
The events at Nibelheim was only the last straw for many of the characters depicted, including tifa. And this was supposed to be a town that Shinra could rely on for recruits.

For those of you who don't know and it has been answered so many times in the comments. The pic at 2:00-2:18 is of a wax statue of Sephiroth in the floor of the Square Enix Store in Tokyo,Japan. Just search it on youtube. Some people posted videos of their visit there already.

Sephiroth believed he was special since he was a little child as he said. So take this God-Complex and add it with extra terrestrial mako infused super-human cells and you ll get your mass murderer. Would have done the same thing in his place. Don't you see how Sephiroth was depicted before learning about his birth and the hidden knowledge in ShinRa Mansion of Nibelheim? He was like he had no reason to exist. But he gained a hwole new reason to breathe in the pumpkin faces' lair xD

Why is this a tribute of love? Sephiroth is evil and killed Aeris. I doubt that's a good basis for a stable relationship.

Really? I distinctly remember him thrusting a sword through Aeris midriff. Also, what about Nibelheim? Killed the whole village. And the president of Shinra. I think you're mistaken.

@Necromortis61 actually, none of that was him except for the whole nibelheim thing (my bad i forgot about that part). the rest of the game where you saw him except for at the end was an exact clone of him infused with jenova cells. sipheroth wasnt even alive until cloud gave him aeris' white materia. remember now?

i think sephiroth was gonna be like a unisex
they were going to (spoilers)(ff7spoilers) give him female contours when his preserved body would reveal at the northern crater, despite that everyone would be under the impression he was a man.
To be honest i kinda like that idea, given he felt like such an outcast to the rest of the human race, and went on to hate them.
You can see jenova kinda looks like a 'unisex' (forget the real word) as well (though she doesn't reproduce).

but the human race never outcasted him once... he was revered as the great war hero sephiroth and he was even well known as a child.
To be honest im not even sure the world knows sephiroth did bad things.
They just think he died in action (thanks to shinra) the only people that know are shinra top dogs,Cloud an co and tifas martial arts master

Sephiroth didn't do anything "bad" so much himself as it was just him working for shinra. Shinra was corrupt and he fought their wars for them.
So the point is the jury would obviously be out on anything shinra did, or any of their wars. Clearly people were already mad in game when there were resistances and discontent the world over
Just because he was a war hero doesn't mean he wasn't an outcast of some sort, or could not get along with people in general. Which has been implied constantly

@thettruest sipheroth began to hate shinra and the world for that matter. he turned on shinra and started killing everyone. he hated the people in this world because jenova was here first and yet nobody cared about jenova. that is why he became corrupt with his power

um...they cared enough to take Jenova's cells and place them inside Sephiroth while he was yet to be born, then while Sephiroth was in the Shinra Mansion, found out about this experiment, and went crazy, hating the world, wanting to use it as his vessal across the cosmos'

@drakorath i may need a refresher on this but to the best of my knowledge, sephiroth believed that his "mother" owned this world (jenova) because she came to the earth from the sky. is that not why he ripped her out of that reactor? like i said i haven't played the game in a good 6 years but i thought i had a good grasp on the story from playing is 3 or 4 times.

Just because he's a war hero doesn't mean he's reverred the world over either, or that everyone is 100% complacent about things including himself. Do you not know anything about the wars going on now in REAL LIFE?
The events at Nibelheim was only the last straw for many of the characters depicted, including tifa. And this was supposed to be a town that Shinra could rely on for recruits.

@Seiga Its a pretty long time ago, but it were in the Original prints for the characters for the game And Cloud werent supposed to look the way he do in FF7 altho his early print did have the Spiky head it were more like Zack's hair only Blond version. The model of Sephiroth..seen at 2.04...is to be found in a Square-Enix store in Hatsudai, Japan. Apparently, he forms part of the flooring in the model department of the store, although, to have anyone walk over him would be sacrilege!

Who know why everybody likes Sep and nobody like the clown... cof cof... i mean Kefka. Say what you want dude. Sephiroth is a man and fights alone with his own power. Kefka is a coward relying only to tricks, and others powers. And by the way, even if Sep is for tradition easy to beat in all FF figts, he is a show.
