5 years ago my friend told me her great great great grandma and granpa were on that ship. they were the old couple who died they were offered a life boat but turned it down. she told me that all they saw was water when it got to there neck the pressere was so intense the were knocked uncauses there the part that made me cry.. there daughter was the place the titanic was going i dont remember she was about to have a baby thats why they were on the ship.
The elderly couple depicted in the film was Isadore and Ida Strauss, and Charles John Joughin actually survived by riding the stern railing down as it sank. There are so many amazing stories to be taught to those that don't know that there really was a man named J. Dawson aboard the Titanic...but his first name wasn't Jack. It was Joseph. Once kids make that connection, they never see the movie "The Titanic" in the same way again.
It's sad that the younger generations are familiar with the Titanic as only fiction. ("Where's the Rose picture..lol). I tell anyone that will listen that it was a real event and that some of the scenes from the movie were taken from true accounts of survivors.
i soooo wanted to go in there but my parents said it cost too much......we looked inside where the entrance was..it was real nice, but the man behind the counter scared me,he kept on looking at me,maybe he was tryin to stay in character...lolzx nice slideshow it was awsome
last year i got to see the exibition in Cincinnati, where i over heard a young woman asking where the " Rose Picture " was... She really thought that was a real artifact... I just shook my head in disgust....
i went to the on in nyc it was awesome but i wanna got to this one too...I found out the person on my boarding pass died after looking for her name for like 15 mins
I went there about two years ago for my birthday! It was so much fun! I so encourage anyone who has never been to go! It's amazing!!!!! Thanks for posting!!!!
amazing! i would also like to go there sooo much. i hope one day i go because i live in holland. i would really like to go but i think i would cry all the time
Well, next year I am going to the exhibit and its been a dream of mine for ages! by the looks of this I am gonna cry loads!!! lol :P I am obbssed beyond believe with this Ship and I KNOW I had a past life on it, don't know who though! Thank you for sharing and I will be sure to take pictures when I go!!
I almost started crying towards the end of the tour, especially when we had to put our hands on the ice. And when they brought us out onto the deck where it was all dark and you heard people crying and screaming, i almost lost it. And it was heartbreaking reading all the names of the people who died, especially all the children. My person on my ticket was the little girl, Eva Hart, shown in your video. She survived.
OMG you did an amazing job. i totally wanted to go to that, i'm so interested in the titanic. but yah the is video is amazing, just to see all those things that must have been breath taking!
Thanks for your kind words John. I am sure that you will enjoy the visit if you go. It's really thought-provoking and emotional. As for my video - it was the first video I had ever made and some of the clips with the text, such as the staircase clip, didn't show up well enough to read. One day I might clean up the video. :)
@Hugzncuddles You did great! I attended Titanic Exhibition in Las Vegas and they do not allow you to take a pictures. I so couple times employee "jumping" out to see if attempt to take a picture 'cause I had cameras in my bags on my belt.
But they had also 15 ton piece of titanic and bigger model of the ship.
On the Titanic Experience tour, they ask you to put your hands on the ice block for 15 seconds. It's incredibly painful even for a few seconds, and they said that's how cold the ocean was. It was shocking, and very sad.
:27 where r the funnels on the ship
