GM uses Eaton Gov-Lok differentials in the rear ends (G80 option code). It is not a limited slip clutch type differential, it senses wheel spin and locks the wheels like a spool. I have a factory one in my GMC 2500 4x4, 6.0L engine, 4.10 gears and it'll roast both back tires going straight line or doing doughnuts.
you have a daten g80 locker but the reason why you didnt have two wheel spin at first was because gm but a safety magnet thingy on it which kicks out at 20mph. Thats a badass truck tho, ive got the 8.1l 02 2500hd.

Not at first, that thing has plenty of power but only one wheel turning when he started. It needs a locker badly. I know Chevy comes with a locking rear diff but they suck and that vid proves it.
@harleyirvin Obviously the inside tire is going to smoke, it has less distance to travel, and is going to go relatively the same speed as the outside. So if the outside tire is spinning, on the pavement just think of how much faster the inside tire is going to be spinning vs the distance traveled.

The intercooler was a must have my temps were upwards 180 when getting on it hard on a hot sunny day. Temps are down to less then 10 above ambient temp.
The compressed intake air runs into the intercooler which is just like a radiator. The air is cooled by the cooler outside air passing through the fins of the intercooler. The Alky system is a Methanol injection system to compensate for the much higher compression ratio and advanced timing. I got the intercooler on ebay for about $100.00 and the piping from summit racing for $250.00. I had a friend help me weld it all together. A
@tommyb8806 None of chevrolet new trucks are posi, well they are just not completley, 2004+ models have rear end locking differential which can either be turned on when you need it or the trucks computer will engage it when it feels it is needed (mostly on 2009+)
@tommyb8806 Not all the trucks come equiped with it, my dads 2009 2500 duramax for some reason did not come with locking differential, but they do advertise that it can come with it.
Yes it did. I tow about 7500lbs big flatbed and bronco. I used to get about 9mpg now I get 12mpg doing 65mph. however, if you put your foot in it and hot rod it around town your going to suck it down. No worse then stock MPG though... I have yet to see what it gets on the hwy with no tow. I bet 17-18mpg?? Love the truck great power!!

it has a saftey setting, that doesnt allow it to lock both until the wheel speed is over 20 mhp. later on in the movie it was burnin both
