Skarmory gets roost via Dream World, according to serebii. It would be a good substitude for guard swap imo.

The problem with breakable armour with skarmory is arm thrust which would make it fast but only if it survives up to 5 hits which become more brutal every turn. I would use keen eye.

in my opinion, one of most awesome non-legendary flying types of all pokemon. i think it does need an evolution to make it awesomer.

I've always used my Skarmory for offense since I first caught it in Ruby. It's a great survivor. Skarmory has Sturdy Body so it can't be KO'd in 1 hit, it's flying type so ground moves have no effect, and it can't be poisoned since it's a steel type, which is useful when I use Toxic on Umbreon or Espeon because their abilities would become useless. When outnumbered, I use Roost and the held Leftovers to heal while using Fly and Rock Slide as the damage from the poison increases. #1 flying bird.

couldnt skarmory learn roost through breeding as well?

like if you taught it roost in 4th gen to skarmory and bred it with a female skarmory, it has roost as one of its moves when it hatches, i dont know what really better way i could word it but hopefully youll understand what im trying to ask lol
