Very cool you chose to use images from the Hustler! Piper gave an quiet but earth-shattering performance as a tortured soul, desperately needing love and willing to be used and abused by Paul Newman's character just to "feel" love. Overlooked performance that may be one of the best in the history of cinema.
No one really talks about how great a performance Piper Laurie gave. In my opinion, she stole the movie with her amazing performance of a woman suffering from polio but who also is a sever alcoholic. She was convincing and even when she didn't speak, her actions spoke volumes! You could feel her pain, her loneliness and her aching heart. I have seen the movie several times but it wasn't until this time, that I really appreciated her performance. Her performance is maybe one of the Top 5 ever!
I came here thinking that this was a song from "The Color Of Money" (1986). But this was a pleasant surprise. Really pleasant. Beautiful song and the video complements it. I haven't seen the movie but seems like a good movie. Hope I get to see it someday. Paul Newman The Legend R.I.P..
BTW, great music!
