Once he broke the rules, he gained an unfair advantage and it became way harder to stop him. Not to mention referees would call a foul if someone so much as looked at him. If you think barely stepping on the line gave him an unfair anvantage and that is why no Serb defenders were between him and the basket than you are crazy. That is what happens when you let a team stay close, especially on their home court. US beat Turkey by 17 so they would not have a chance for a call to let them win. It was not such an obvious call so stop complaining, its part of the game.

And it was not this one call, during the whole third and fourth quarter almost no fouls by them were called, and a bunch of non-existent fouls by us were called. There was absolutely no way for him to go around our player without stepping that one inch out of bounds, because there was no room for him to step there. And Turkey didn't really try to win against steroid junkies, so I guess they didn't bother to pay referees.
