His repartee with the rest of the cast is amazing and I think that it was all unscripted. Van has said that much of his acting on ATWT is improvised on the spot. In fact, the actors often don't know what their castmates do until they tape. Yet all his scenes, including the difficult love scenes, end up being true-to-life because of all the little details he adds. That quick mind is also what made him so effective here.

Poor woman had an incredibly difficult role to play. Being a wedge between Nuke made her unlikable from the start. Then she had to find an impossible balance between Islamic modesty and sexy temptress. Her monotonic voice, appropriate for a Muslim woman (I guess), certainly didn't allow for the witty dialogue of Henry or Vienna. It was a no-win situation. You should see the vitriolic comments she got in my channel.

I seriously could not stop laughing when Trent asked how Van landed the gig of MCing and Van said, "Because I've been here before Trent." I just loved the tone in his voice. lol
