  • @p0kemaster1 Pokemons gay dude : /

  • shut up Meg....

  • "Death Waltz" was the perfect name for the remix, but the name was already taken by another song and and so now there are two "Death Waltz"s thus causing great confusion.

  • Death Waltz by John Stump = not a real playable musical piece

The "Death Waltz" youtubers know = Cool&Create remix of UN Owen Was Her, piano arrange

  • BULL POOP JOHN STUMP WAS BORN YEARS BEFORE THIS VIDEO GAME POOP PLOP WAS EVEN MADE, -_-

  • TOUHOU

  • @LlamasOkiAmmaPie BULLETHELL :D

  • /watch?v=R_lYJpMqsiQ

This is all you need to know. "Death Waltz" = nonsense. Joke with music notes. One day, some idiot put together a mix of the nonsense of Death Waltz with a piano version of the song at the top of my comment which is an arrangement of UN Owen Was Her. Then a bunch of other idiots heard that and thought the only discernible melody from the song (Owen Was Her) was called Death Waltz. Then followed a sh*tstorm of Touhou fans vs impressionable idiots.

  • @Ultimaniacx4 the U.N. Owen remix is 'Final Savage Sister S - U.N. Owen Was Her?'

  • FL IS SHIT

  • how about we all shut up about this and listen to the one that is obviously better.... DEATH WALTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm sad about that not many people here know the orginal song what is from the game Touhou 6 Embodiment of Scarlet Devil from 2002

its not bad that John Stump made a remade of the song with a bit more sounds

but it is unforgiveable that he not had saied that he took the song "UN Owen was her?"

no he took it, made a remade and saied that it was his idea

    and one more think

UN was her? is playable on piano

John Stump use to much notes-deathwalz is impossible to play complet on piano

  • @FlameForPeace Are you still in third grade???

  • @p0kemaster1 wow and thats coming from some guy that goes by pokemaster1

  • @djmlcz Well any good names were taken.

  • @djmlcz Also the fact that liking pokemon does not limit me to being in a certain grade. Just because I like pokemon doesn't automatically mean that I am less than you. Fine, be a douche, but knowing that i willingly say that I like pokemon on the web makes me that much more daring than you will ever be. If you want to be a dirty fucker putting other people down, so be it.

At least my name is legible. Your djmlcz looks like a 2nd grader got on the computer and pounded on the keys.

  • @FlameForPeace Except the remix people assume is Death Waltz is actually by COOL&CREATE.

John Stump didn't remix the theme. He probably didn't even know about it. The actual Death Waltz that John Stump composed is unplayable, and requires more than a piano. Some guy just decided to call a piano arrangement of COOL&CREATE's remix Death Waltz.

Your grammar and capitalization are also crap.

  • lol .. how can you choose the piano rolls in fl like that ?

  • This Guy DID Comfirm my theory =w= Yes you the author

  • you, are a fag.

  • 3:00

  • @wisefelipe You still misinterpertted what I've said. The death waltz i'm referrig to is the one that everyone who mistook the u.n owen piano piece as death waltz, not the actual music sheet. I am very aware that the video and the sheet are completely different. If you looked back at the comment I made a month ago, I even said to compare the actual music sheet to the video and that they are not the same.

  • @Eenkin hmm...

    well put, good sir.

thank you for adding just a little bit of logic to Youtube

  • um.. video games are for young kids and teenagers not for stoned retards who cant figure out ubout songs.

  • Hmm...

    U.N. Owen Was Her?

    Death Waltz?

    Google Image music sheet?

Nope, this is not death waltz...

Neither the one which have a 1.21 or a trolling face in it...

    Real Death Waltz...

    Crazy.

  • People who disliked were wrong.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! finally i was getting so confused with so many people calling it death waltz.

  • @masterxak its called Un owen was her.

  • @masterxak You knew this already, xak. Cmon, It's not like I haven't been bragging on facebook about managing to complete Touhou 6, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, or anything. Well, I'm past Subterranean Animism now.

  • @MindlessInvalid we discussed this james you only think you did.

  • @masterxak My youtube comment predates the facebook comment. This isn't homestuck, you can't justify having digital correspondences in reverse chronological order. The time I'm spending typing up this reply is time I'm not spending on Touhou 12.3.

  • @MindlessInvalid oh I just thought you were a time traveler

  • love this song and have been trying to find it for ages now i can download it ... SWEET!!

  • There is a word out there people and it is called a shear "coincidence" (just pointingit out-please no arguments)

  • Nice desktop brah

  • .......john stup mad up the conspirisy himself he is the greatest troll ever so stfu

  • @kmtatyou John Stump the greatest troll ever in touhou history.

  • 3:27 THEN 3:35 for comparison ^_^ Thumbs up so everyone can see

  • Cool&Create = Daft Punk

i dont think this resembles anything

    Cool&Create = Euro Trance

    Maybe

    Cool&Create = Unknown artist

    maybe

    anything?

  • Conclussion #! (Sorry About my absence) The Song "Death Waltz" By John Stump can be found easy (by comparing) the SECOND (The Speedy Version/Part) of "U.N. Owen Was on Her" took me a while but even the ending is the same as the one in synthesia (boom-like) anyways compare this /watch?v=Gx02KOGhjes and this watch?v=8jJZA-O_B78 (@ 2:01)

  • @xlordsolrac2 If You didn't like the Pianpo Version Here's a more detailed version (the one I compared) \/watch?v=06yF2NSiYs

  • or at least the program looks like it.

  • VOCALOID

  • Actually Faerie's Aire was composed BEFORE the game, the "death waltz", the original piece was started in 1967 and finished somewhere between 1970-1990 (nobody knows the exact date except john stump) you know of today is a remixed adoption of the original piece which was uploaded by someone named guerep7 which completely ripped off the original piece and remixed it into an ever lasting flame war about which came first. If anyone disagrees with me, prove me wrong.

  • @thecommentar1 My Point Exactly :3 That's why I say, It's just a Tribute

  • Click 3.06 to skip the bullshit advertisement.

  • no its not. there is no way you can

make this difficult song in 1980s.

google john stump and find the sheet.

  • My gosh! its from John Stump you idiot! (im in a bad mood right now)

  • OMG LOOK UP YOUR RESOURCES!

  • Wow, you actually think that the did a remix of a video game theme into a classical song! Well if you think that the video game theme was made first then you officially have an IQ of 2!

  • @54bmr53

Look at my channel, it's full of remix of video game themes into classical songs.

  • THE GIANT DOLLAR BILL ON THE WALL

  • I love Flandre Scarlet and hate John Stump.

  • This guy is high, or maybe stupid

  • I cant believe this guy actually wastes his time trying to explain all this when nobody really cares

  • john stump's death waltz sounds nothing like the ones that people have put up here my mom has the sheet music to it and my neighbor played the sheet music so i think its someones idea of trying to show off as a know-it-all or they were bored out of their mind either way they misnamed and made themselves look kinda dumb

  • -->4:32<-- skip the fuckin long intro that's a minimmum half of the whole vid.

  • here : 3:02

  • The first time that I heard to the Death Waltz, i know the song is copied from the song from that video game since that song is very famous in Asia.

  • @nickykhc Are you...

    fucking... kidding me?

    No.

  • UN Owen Was Her? ripped off the song from Death Waltz

  • @titwane I believe that Death Waltz was confused with with a remix of U.N. Owen was her? from Touhou. If you search up the actual sheet music, it looks nothing like the synthesia "Death Waltz" that people are claiming "U.N. Owen was her?" stole from.

  • @TwistedJabberjays entirely correct see above

  • Stoned.... ;)

  • asshole

  • Good job, you compared the original U.N.Owen to a remix. Death Waltz doesn't sound like either of those.

  • @hoppefrosk Guerep7 saying that's a fake and not of death waltz , we all got trolled big time.

    /watch?v=gMQabj5eUFQ

  • 3:06 You divided by zero, Didn't you?

  • Actually this piece of music was at some point misnamed by someone as death waltz, and that name stuck, while both pieces you are comparing are by ZUN (though one is a remix I think) and neither even comes close to what John Stumps Death Waltz would actually sound like... just google john stump and you should find a picture of the sheet music from the actual Death Waltz

  • @lunaatje123 Thank you for saying this. Seriously, 70% of the people arguing over who wrote what doesn't even know what they're talking about.

  • Shut the fuck up, listen to the music, enjoy, go gain some weight.

  • Bro... John Stum *IS* The Composer... People actually READ it Wrong, and results as another Sounding making the whole song completely SENSELESS. ZUN Simple REMADE That song with its ACTUAL Staff and remixed it a bit (to the "Soft Kid-Like" and then a More Stronger which is The "Killing Kid-Like") =_= If you don't accept this then fine >YOUR OPINION<, Truth is Truth Sorry to disapoint...

  • @xlordsolrac2 nice story bro

  • @ZephyrT94 Thankyou...

  • @xlordsolrac2 please go youtube search final savage sister flandre scarlet (u.n. owen was her? remixed by cool&create)

  • @xlordsolrac2 Try comparing these two: Final Savage Sister Flandre S. original music(U.N. Owen was her? remixed by COOL&CREATE) AND Death Waltz, it's actually the same. So there's only one Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz by John Stump and Touhou is actually nothing to do with John Stump.

  • @xlordsolrac2 /watch?v=sCgT94A7WgI <-- The REAL Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz, you can see the music at the end with John Stump's name on it.

  • @manganimegirl378 That's the one that's Read WRONG

  • @xlordsolrac2 How is it read wrong? (I'm assuming you mean the music itself?) lostinthecloud[dot]files[dot]wordpress[dot]com/2010/03/faeries-aire[dot]gif (replace the [dot]s w/ real dots) This is a pic of the real sheet music of John Stump's Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz. It IS made with a real staff and can't be read any other way. So it can't really be remade. (Well, it can, but it wouldn't sound like ZUN's U.N. Owen Was Her) Also, U.N. Owen Was Her came before this fanmade remix. Am I wrong?

  • @manganimegirl378 Good Point... But In My Opinion, ZUN made a Fan Made Version (Of A Fan Made Version)

  • @xlordsolrac2

What the... how could you possibly come to such a conclusion?

  • @wisefelipe Did you compare it? If You listen carefully you'll get my point

  • @xlordsolrac2

UN Owen was Her is very similar to the song played in this video.

The Death Waltz involves shooting Penguins THROUGH the ceiling, having a cow on stage and doesn't even have a piano in it.

This song here (in the video) is an arrange of UN Owen Was Her made by a group called COOL&CREATE who is FAMOUS FOR DOING TOUHOU ARRANGES (Touhou is the game ZUN makes and where his songs are originally found). This song is NOT the Death Waltz.

You are aware of that, right?

  • @wisefelipe I am aweare of this video.. But I still see the Official Staff (tried to remake it) and it still says Death Watlz by John Stump... Notice... The MIDI is WAY Slower then the COOL&CREATE Version.... >> An Arrangement of a Remix? =.=

  • @xlordsolrac2

"But I still see the Official Staff (tried to remake it) and it still says Death Watlz by John Stump"

I don't understand what you mean by that, can you explain this better please?

As for the Midi being slower, there's no chance of the original being an arrange of the COOL&CREATE version, unless ZUN has the ability to travel through time.

I've no doubt about the things I've said, I just want to understand what you got wrong so I can help u understand.

  • i supose u could learn to SHUT UP!!

  • i can smell his weed from here

  • The original is Owen was her but the remix was made by cool&create

  • wow i do belive you are dumb.

  • Death Waltz was the original. The company who made the videi game ripped some parts from Death Waltz for their song, U.N. Owen Was Her.

  • @NESAtariSegaNerd First off, the video game is by ONE PERSON, ZUN, not a company.

2nd "Death Waltz" as many people thought is actually COOL&CREATE's remix of U.N. Owen was Her

U.N. Owen was Her was the original by ZUN. The title Death Waltz is some person who purposely mislabled the song to fool people.

If you see the music sheet compare to a music sheet version of COOL&CREATE's version, you would see they are not the same.

  • @NESAtariSegaNerd the title of COOL&CREATE's version 最終鬼畜妹・フランドールS Here's 2 piano arrangements by marasy8 with that same title. youtu (dot) be/OEQ7XzBnByU youtu (dot) be/ZpIN-RypoMk the 2nd one is first U.N. Owen that goes into COOL&CREATE's version A video of the same song that everyone is thinking of, but has the title of COOL&CREATE's version youtu (dot) be/b14kz7Qa62E which is a reprint of this video nicovideo (dot) jp/watch/sm7764460
  • @NESAtariSegaNerd

which that video's description says it's a modified version of this

    nicovideo (dot) jp/watch/sm6896044

which links up to a bunch of videos that are piano midis that has 最終鬼畜妹・フフランドール・S as the title.

最終鬼畜妹・フランドール・S means Final Salvage Sister, Flander S.

Flander S. is a game character from Touhou 6: Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil whose theme song is U.N. Owen was Her?.

Sorry it's long-winded, but the song that people thought was "Death Waltz" was mislabled as the wrong name.

  • @Eenkin If anybody wants to blame ZUN for copying anything, blame him for copying one of Beethoven's Sonata no. 8 Pathetique - 3rd Movement for using the beginning of the song in Remilia Scarlet's theme in Touhou 6: EoSD Septette for the Dead Princess.

I know ZUN didn't copy Death Waltz if you just googled the music sheet and try to play it yourself.

  • :\ how hard is this to understand. Death waltz was made before ZUN made U.N. Owen was Her. But Death waltz was and is just a humorous collection of notes on paper. John Stump was creative and hilarious. People giving him credit for something HE DID NOT WRITE is in insult to his memory. John Stump had nothing to do with U.N. Owen was Her.

ZUN wrote U.N. Owen was her in 2001, and a musical group called COOL&CREATE made a remix of it, which is what you all think is death waltz . do some research.

  • It's funny how you think this song was created for a video game. Composed long before it was an idea for a video game, bro.

  • freaking morons. look up death waltz in google images, then look at the first image. that's the real death waltz. see, the real death waltz is a joke.

COOL&CREATE made a remix of U.N. Owen was Her, and someone uploaded the remix into synesthesia. and that person decided to call it death waltz. why? i don't know.

  • This song seems to be video game like and i thought as i heard it the first time it must be from a game

  • No one is here because the music. Just because the music has a awesome name and because all of us read "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and thought: "fucking awesome music name for a fucking awesome game"

  • WHO THE FUCKING CARES ABOUT THE MUSIC ? IT'S JUST THE FUCKING AWESOME TOUHOU.

  • look, death waltz is an actual song from john stump, but this is actually un owens was her. The actual song from john stump is quite different.

  • Stop talking in your videos!! you're so bored

  • Instead of tryung to explain why you are wrong in the typical Youtube sence, i.e., typing in all caps and calling you a faggot thirty thousand times, I am going to attempt to explain to you why it is very likely that you are wrong using, get this, Logic.

The game with this song was released in 2002. John Stump died in 2006. It is very possible that the song was composed and then modified slightly to be used in the game, four years before the death of the composer.

  • @iamthezach

well, you talked nicely, so I will answer the same way.

The original Death Waltz is as similar to UN Owen Was Her? as the sound of traffic in a big city would be.

The song people has been calling "Death Waltz" is just a UN Owen Remix and has absolutely nothing to do with John Stump

  • Do you not realise that the entire basis of most Western Classical music comes copying ideas from other composers? Campus Firmus, are an example of this where you take a pre-existing melody and change it to create a new piece of music. Plagiarism is hard to do in music.

  • Wow dude, who cares? The music is good, that's all I wanted :L

  • All of you just listen to me, the original composer of death waltz was john stump. But the truth is, IT HAS NO RELATION TO U.N. OWEN WAS HER. Touhou's U.N. owen was her is composed by ZUN himself. Then Cool & Create remixed the song. The song is actually a hard song on piano. And mistakenly changed to Death Waltz by Guerep7. Because John Stump composed music not played, but seen

  • you must be stoopid. very very stoopid. yes i spelled stupid like that for extra emphasis.

  • John Stump- famous composer for making impossible songs

Death Waltz- one song made by John Stump but was lost because of the confusion between Death Waltz and U.N. Owen was her?

U.N. Owen was her- theme for Flandre Scarlet made by Cool&Create

Cool&Create- maker of all Touhou music

ZUN- company that owns the Touhou Project

Conclusion- Cool&Create made the song "U.N. Owen was her" and a fan remixed it on Synthesia

    Anymore questions ask me

  • @Rayx0527 @Rayx0527 Cool&Create are not the makers of all Touhou music. :/

Your first two points are correct. The "Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz" is indeed a song fully composed by John Stump, as one can see here: /watch?v=jXMujWmFzNw

However, Cool&Create is only a doujin circle remixing Touhou music.

The original "U.N. Owen was her" was - like all the original Touhou music - made by ZUN himself, as one can see here: en touhouwiki net/wiki/ZUN

Just thought I'd clear that up too.

  • @Ap0ske Thanks for explaining this to a touhou n00b ~

Could not have said this better myself.

  • @Rayx0527 No. ZUN isn't a company. HE is the person who makes all the games and everything in the games himself and COOL&CREATE is... fuck it, nevermind.

  • You honestly need to use your head. Video game music doesn't just come out of nowhere, it must all be be written first. John Snow was the individual who composed this music for piano before this company purchased the rights to it.

  • @eliasgoliath : No, ZUN composed this song himself..

He deserves the credit for making this amazing song, don't try to take it from him.

  • @eliasgoliath

You took that completely from inside your head right? Not much reading would be necessary to easily disprove all that you've said.

  • The song made by the ZUN composer guy was nicknamed "The Death Waltz" because it was deemed unplayable, and named after John Stump's Faeries Air and Death Waltz because of a lack of a better translated name. "UN Owen Was Her?" isn't a very good title for a song as epic as this.

  • @OMGItsJousis No, you're wrong. Do a little research first, before you try to prove something wrong.

  • @HollyHCH Care to tell me why I'm wrong or correct me? "You're wrong." isn't very helpful.

  • @OMGItsJousis Ok, I hope this helps you a little. ZUN is NOT nicknamed "The Death Waltz," which proves everything else you said wrong. (:

    Did that help?

  • dwag how high are you?

  • The current know Death Waltz is a remix of Cool and Create's remix of "U.N. Owen was her?"

  • to continue my comment, John Stump could be considered the Chuck Norris of composition.

  • UN owen war her? is an homage to the original Death Waltz.

  • @MJThesmoothcriminal Little King's Story actually used only classical and Nutcracker music. The way they remixed it was really quite ingenious. They got... Was it five? At least five completely different-sounding songs out of Rhapsody in Blue. Just one of many reasons it's my favorite game ever. XD

  • if John Stump is a real composer, why does he not have a Wikipedia page?

  • @cultmiester Because no one has made one yet...

  • @linkinspirit95 gogle has maybe 1 website with any substantial info on him - and even that is untrustworthy to the nth degree because the author claims to be his son and the article was written 4 years after his death.. given how infamous this piece is (even if it's only on the internet) i'd expect there to be a lot more about him and on at least a few reputable websites.

  • @cultmiester you're right, because when i heard john stump death waltz i was like "where is it?"

  • Hmm... Now that you bring this up, I think someone used the "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" song and made the "ABC's" song out of it...

  • I heard that somone once called "UN owen was her " death waltz because they didn't know what to trancelate it into, so they decided to call it death waltz because it's so hard to play. something like that.

  • Please, my dear, did you ever seen that the music of a composer can be use for a game or a movie after he composed it, or maybe after his death? I say that without knowing something about John stump's life or about the game you're talking about here, but for example, we can hear in The Sting(movie, 1973) a music composed by Joplin 80 years or more before the movie. P-S: sorry if my english is not good, i'm french :-D

  • @MJThesmoothcriminal yes i am aware that the music in movies and video games were made be a music composer. the composer to this song is probably some Japanese guy from ZUN.

P-S: im sorry to hear your french, that must really suck

  • @djmlcz I'm sorry to hear you can't spell, that must suck too...

  • @djmlcz "your".. "YOUR" .. LOL!!

  • Woooooow! Dancin' in the shadow~!

  • The Touhou song is "U.N. Owen Was Her?".

The Touhou song was based off of "Death Waltz".

Deal with it. They're not the SAME song, but they're VERY similar, due to the fact that the Touhou one was based off of John Stump's composition.

  • @DeliriousSecretPixel What are you on about?

The John Stump song sounds NOTHING LIKE any version of U.N. Owen Was Her in existence in this universe.

THIS is the John Stump song: sCgT94A7WgI

  • Game: Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil

Song: U.N. Owen Was Her? (Flandre Scarlet's Theme)

    Google is our friend.

  • U.N. Owen Was Her does not equal the satirical piece by John Stump.

  • idiot, john stump is the fucking composer

  • @MasterBakufan your icon pic for your channel is a troll face. obvious troll is obvious, idiot

  • @djmlcz its true though

  • @djmlcz lol, he is right.

  • @djmlcz IN JUST MY OPINION,

John Sump is the REAL Composer of this song, but maybe it is not called Death Waltz

and then ZUN video game (or the composer?) remixed it.

and then COOL & CREATE remixed it again by combining stump and ZUN's song in piano

Thumbs up for coming up of my opinion

  • @djmlcz ur just pissy cuz i have intellectual knowledge of classical music and their composers

  • @titwane03 Your argument is invalid. Have you even seen the original sheet music by John Stump? It is absolutely nothing like UN Owen was her? and bears no resemblance to it in any way, shape or form.

  • @titwane03

Compare to Final Salvage Sister Flandre S. by COOL&CREATE (more better known as U.N. Owen was Her? remix) somewhere between 2004 (I think)

COOL&CREATE's version sounds too much alike to "Death Waltz" to be a remix of U.N. Owen was her? (Flandre Scarlet's theme).

Everything in C&C's version matches "Death Waltz" from the beginning to the piano smash except C&C's was slightly faster.

Also google the music sheet for Faerie's Aire and Death Waltz by John Stump and compare.

  • @Eenkin

That piano piece ios NOT Death Waltz.

Holy crap why is it so hard for people to understand that??

  • @wisefelipe You've misinterperted what I said.

What I said was that Death Waltz sounds too much alike to Final Salvage Sister, Flandre S. (aka cool&create's remix of U.N owen was her) that the piano piece was meant to be a piano version of Final Salvage Sister.

  • @Eenkin

Again, the original Death Waltz has absolutely nothing similar to the Cool&create's remix or the original UN Owen.

The original Death Waltz (the one by John Stump) music's sheet had things like "let the pinguins loose" "invite the cow into stage" and doesn't even sound like music when someone actually tries to play it. John Stump was a composer who create joke songs which couldn't be played and which looked funny in the music sheet. I don't even think it has a piano in it.

  • @titwane03 yeah your right the game stole the music.....stupid game

  • @MasterBakufan you mean he is the composer of U.N. Owen was her? did you....did you plway the game, mister

  • @MasterBakufan John Stump is my uncle.

  • @MasterBakufan John Stump isnt the damn composer. It was ZUN and Cool&CREATE. Case closed.

  • @MasterBakufan No,You Hater. :D
