  • It must have been difficult for Richard to play this without Karen's beautiful voice.

  • As long as you have love in your life whether it be gay or straight, it is ok! God condones love, not hatred! This beautiful music came from love, not hate.

  • I Love Richard because he made the Carpenters into the biggest thing there was. He made Magic Songs. it is a shame they are not still #1. He made His Sister a Legend. and He too. Make donations to his Carpenters LA Arts Center.

  • Absolutely gorgeou!!!. You can feel the emotion in your fingers! Thanks so much for posting this! Great photos of the Carpenters.

  • RIP Karen Carpenter and you and Richards beautiful music!

  • Karen sang a duet with Perry Como, who is from my hometown of Canonsburg Pa, just south of Pittsburgh

  • i WOULD MOST LIKELY HATE TO SEE ALL O THE BUFFALOES GO AT THE TIME WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT.

  • Nice instrumental version of the song.

  • My brother and brother in law have cancer and my uncle has lung cancer

  • It's sad...

    God bless

  • Thank you much!

  • @florcha34 God Bless you too!

  • Geez ..I can hear Karen in my mind singing to this beautiful rendition ..RIP...Karen

  • Richard or the Carpenters for that matter never got the credit they really Deserved! They have the most #2 songs of all time & at least 5 #1 song's in America & 15 #1's in the UK plus they are still Huge in Japan if that is not HOF Material What Is?

  • RICHARD CARPENTER IS my favorite

pianist/arranger of the 70's. While Karen gave us the "voice", Rich was the "sound" of CARPENTERS MUSIC and HITS. His vision was brilliant and his knowledge of instrumentation

is second to none in POP MUSIC. Karen must have been in 7th heaven, in a studio laying down her vocals with all of those strings,

his piano work, the signature oboe or English horn lines, harps, French horns and other smooth brass, outstanding bass work.....wow.

    CARPENTERS are ETERNAL.

  • Absolutely Beautiful really tugs at the heart strings!!! I would love to learn to play piano & be able to play this & other carpenter classics thanx so much for this!!!

  • You're welcome =)

  • Beautiful song! Thanks for doing this! Check out another beautiful YouTube song/video, "Fearfully And Wonderfully Made - Voice Of The Children", as recorded by 7 year old Sharon Morgan.

  • You're welcome

    And..Thank YOu!

  • florch34, A lovely Piano rendition by Richard. He is very talented pianist, I can

appreciate. However I still hear Karen singing it. Amor, Penny

  • Hermoso Flopi!!! Te felicito!!! Gracias por tanta emoción. Bsos. Yer.

  • Mil Gracias Yer!!!

    Besos =)

  • If Karen had never been half of the Carpenters, this instrumental probably wouldn't sound so sad. I just always have a nagging feeling of something missing when I hear Richard play without his sister's voice to sing it.

  • Beautiful, touching..thank you, Flor.

  • Thank you so mmuch Judy!

    Kisses.. :)

  • you can't really be Howard Bannister, can you?

  • No, I wanted my username to have something to do with one of my favorite films, What's Up, Doc?

And I love the character of Howard, so I put that I Love Howard Banister.

  • One of the all time great films...can't tell you how many times I've seen it! "Eunice...there's really a person named Eunice". So many great lines. Thanks, Howard.

  • I also love it when Howard askes her if she understands anything, and she says Like what? and he says "Eunice!" and she says "No, I don't understand Eunice."

  • What about when they are in the drugstore and Streisand is buying the radio...total is $69.52....Howard says "how much would it be for the aspirin WITHOUT the bufferin"? Great line.

  • And thank you.

  • I truly love this song & Richard's piano arrangement is very beautiful. How I yearn to

    hear Karen sing it again!

    Adoro, Penny

  • I wait for the same thing with every Richard 's song

    Thank you and...Kisses :)

  • Linda melodía... linda secuencia de fotos... Congratulations...;)

  • Thanks! :)
