What I want people to remember is that in WWII Infantrymen saw combat on an average of 10 days/year in Vietnam they saw an average of over 200 days/year. Two Thirds of those were drafted, people generally "volunteered" in services that had little chance of seeing combat during Vietnam. I will always respect our Infantrymen the most, especially those today who are all volunteers.

@brikabrack That is Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man". Among other things it was used by ABC TV as their opening theme for "Wide World of Sports". I believe it's also been used as a theme for various Olympic broadcasts.

As I left the wall I came upon this statute. I did not know it was there. After spending so much time looking up the names of those that gave their all I thought there were no more tears, I was wrong. I spent along time just staring at the statue and remembering every little detail of how we looked as young men and how we came home so much older.

There is no mockery involved here. I served two tours in Vietnam during my 21 years in the military. I have nothing but the highest regard for the people who didn't make it back. I'd suggest that you look at the rest of my videos. Thanks for your input.
