You are wrong. We were first once to experience democracy. Before year 1000 we already had a kindom, in which there was a form of democracy. In Novgorod Kniadgestvo(Novgorod Kindom) all the main decisions were made by people, who lived in Novgorod. They would get together and some of them would present ways of solving some problems and then averybody, who was there would vote. This is the only example of Democracy of that time period on whole Earth.
Of course people from villges wouldn't take a big partin voting, because of traveling problems and women didn't have right to vote, but still it was the first democracy in such a big community(for that time that town was counted as a very big one)

Germans were dependent on technology and blitzkrieg. Once that was countered, they lost. As for numbers, Germans attacked with 4.3 million soldiers, when Russia had an army of 3 million poorly equipped men.

They were surrounded by 2 evil powers, one harmed Estonians but fought against the other, the other harmed Jews and Communists, but treated and respected Estonians. And let's not forget that soldiers rarely have a choice whether to fight in the war or not, most Estonians were conscripted, the rest volunteered after seeing what Soviet Union did or having distrust of it because of the history of interaction between Russia and Estonia. Past is past, we should work on making a better future, rather than obsessing about our past.

Revolution's AND WW1's relation to Estonia's independence is that it weakened land greedy Russia and many bordering countries besides Estonia could declare their long-desired independence. It doesn't justify later Soviet occupation and crimes anyhow.

I mean life in USSR especially the first years was terrible. People where killed, deported to Siberia for almost no reason. U could tell nothing bad about the goverment, no other parties or views besides Communist were allowed etc. NO such thing in EU. That's the huge difference between EU and USSR. You are wrong. We were first once to experience democracy. Before year 1000 we already had a kindom, in which there was a form of democracy. In Novgorod Kniadgestvo(Novgorod Kindom) all the main decisions were made by people, who lived in Novgorod. They would get together and some of them would present ways of solving some problems and then averybody, who was there would vote. This is the only example of Democracy of that time period on whole Earth.
