Girl I have heard something similar to that. Oh you have sickle cell well you don't look sick hunnie. Like what the heck? No illness has a distinct look. Ugghh I can't stand ingnorance in people. People need to be educated to stop this kind of misinformation. Spread the word. Sickle cell awareness is EVERYDAY! :)
