salaam alaikum brother the author of the new wahhabi threat book wrote on his blog that ibn taymiyyah repented from his ugly beliefs but i dont know how much truth is in that.

there is no truth in it at all, if he truly repented would the scholars of Ahlu Sunnah have left him in prison ? Definately not. He died in prison and then his books became public which only shouwed how ugly his beliefs of tajseem really was. Like in bayan talbees al-Jahmiyyah he says that if Allah willed He would sit on a mosquito and it would pick Him up and fly with Him. Allah only knows how much kuffar that man held, also Ibn Qayyim confirms many beliefs Ibn taymiyyah had

We have contact Al-Jazeera numerous times to organise a live debate to which Al-Qaradawi refused, we have also contacted him live and spoken to him regarding these and other mistakes he has made but he didnt not repent, his arrogance only increased.

In more info there is a link which is a recording of Qaradawi saying this kuffar statement. We as sunnis must defend our religion from the likes of Wahhabis, Hizb al-Ikhwan and from their leaders Ibn Taymiyyah, Sayyid Qutb, Ibn Baz and the other mujassimah that follow them

If ur a good muslim u should forgive him or find a way to talk one by one with him,and correct things that should be corrected. we're a human being, we do mistakes my brother. There's a lot of great scholar in islam and not everything they said were easy for us to understand, so find a way to meet them. strive hard for our success in gaining knowledge because of allah may allah guide us insyaallah :)

Al-Qaradawi is a very arrogant person, he has a problem with being wrong in Islamic issues and does not like to be corrected. Regarding Ibn taymiyyah he was declared as kaffir by consensus as stated by Taqi udeen al-Husni in dafu shubah. read his books and you will see how ugly his beleifs were, he said Allah can shrink and sit on a mosquito and it will fly with him, he had same beleifs as the jews.

Qaradawi has many ill beliefs, alot of them he has taken from his leader Sayyid Qutb.

Sayyid Qutb in his book 'Fi Thalal al-Quran' at the translation of Ayah 4 from Surat al-Hadeed he said "Allah is physically with every person and is in everything". This is clearly the belief of Hulul (the belief Allah is in everything and everyone).

Imam Suyuti in his book al-Hawi Lil-Fatawi stated that the consensus of the Scholars declared as a kaffir the one who has this belief.

This is such a great accusation. You should back it with the original video of DYQ saying such things.

The original video can be found on the net, as can his claims that hellfire will end and using the deviant ibn taymiyya as a reference, he has also given other strange fatwas like a very small amount of alcohol in drinks and food is acceptable.

All of which is against the belief of Muslim and the consensus of the Scholars.

I reserve my comments on Ibn Taimiyya. I may not ascribe to most of his opinions, but I will not go as far as calling him a deviant. To me he was a scholar, and mujtahid, when they err, they are rewarded once, if they are correct they are rewarded twice.

regarding Ibn Taymiyya theres alot you might not know about him. He was declared as a kaffir by the consensus of scholars, judges across the 4 schools and by the Sultan, leaders and the laymen as stated by Taqiudeen al-husni in his book dafu Shubah.

Ibnul-Muallim Al-Qurashiyy in Najmul-Muhtadi and Al-Kutubiyy in Uyun At-Tarikh narrate how he was imprisoned for his kuffar beliefs he held and taught.
