  • That sounds like Joe Oldham on the drums. He was a studio musician back in the 50's and 60's

  • .... some things never change :D ... doo woop thx for this great song

  • fabulous thanks alot for this version

  • One of the very best uptempo doo wop songs ever !!!!!

  • A MASTERPIECE............................

  • Joe Barsalona was my grandpa. He sang baritone in the group. Awesome music. Good to hear it up on youtube. :)

  • man doo wop never gets old such great pop music upbeat and catchy wish music was still like this

  • 5 Discs best song. Even had my son singing this tune and he was only 7 or 8 years old. Great fast Doo Wop. A true and timeless classic. Bigcarbone, your dad was out of sight. A great lead. I just love this song.

  • yep thats my father singing lead the best there was made that song a hit he still sounds the same

  • @BIGCARBONE Can you ask your Dad who does that great sax solo?

  • @mb7668 -I actually met the original sax player on this song at a PGHA

concert about 10 years ago. .He is still around.I was honored in meeting him

    thru Eddie Parducci.

  • @BIGCARBONE Thank him from me, truly inspirational voice!

  • yep thats my father singing lead the best there was he still sounds the same

  • The lead's name is John Carbone, possibly the best lead they ever had (past and present). He was the third and only recorded 3 songs but he was still performing up to recently, with his own group. The fantastic Eddie Parducci took over, next, and he still performs with his Five Discs--but John is considered by many as TOPS.

  • I love the FIVE DISC i'm 30 years old been listening to doowop/oldies all my life. The sound is just amazing .Me and my wife have a child on the way and he or she will be rocking out too this stuff just like daddy..:)

  • I first heard this song when I was in Manhattan. An electronics store had the song blasting to the outside public and it repeated over, over, and over all that day. I remember it well.

  • 5 Discs made so many great songs. Never Let You go was one of their best. Check out Let's Fall in Love by the Boyfriends was actually the 5 Discs.

  • Bassman earns his money on this song :)

Deffinitly one of the best DooWop songs.

  • That note he hits at :09 is one of the best. he stretched it to ten senconds.

  • One of my favorites. I have it on a black labeled Cheer vinyl.
