  • Great playing!!!!!!!!! Enough said!!!!!!!!!

  • If this guy its a malmsteen copy, why the malmsteen don't create this song?

  • Ex 2 = Yngwie Malmsteen - Demon Driver

  • to me its not malmsteen copies, its just neo classical shred and i love it! every punk band isnt called a sex pistol or romones copy band. like wtf. if you feel that this is n malmsteen copy then so what who gives a shit

  • 1:10 he looks like a cross between yngwie and eddie van halen...the playing is all malmsteen...if you cover your eyes and listen to this you'd think it was malmsteen on a bit of an off day....

  • a copy of yngwie malmsteen .-.

  • O pai do Malmsteen andou aprontando no Japão ! A música...COCOZENTA !

  • it took me years to learn to play similar to this guy practising scales and arpeggios all day long i even have a diploma in music theory from college but because i live in england the people here are retarded instead of listening to real music like this or in my case heavy metal shred they want to hear dizzy rascal ot tinie tempah a load of uneducated rappers who cant even speak english and sadly the usa has gone the same way letting these rappers gang wankers take over its criminal

  • Awesome stuff from a technical point, but a bit boring composition wise.

Random thought: at around 2:50 he looks like he forgot where he wants to put his left hand :))

  • Clearly he's inspired by Yngwie, and he plays exceptionally well. I definitely enjoyed this piece here.

  • Comment removed

  • but the sound is awful his fender had a better sound

  • whats soo bad about an copie great musician!!

  • malmsteen much?

  • @bamboozel1234

    couldnt agree more

  • Nice change of modes and scales:)

  • there are too many copies of malmsteen because its an inspiration

  • Just what a world needs, another malmsteen clone. damn it.

  • The kid is pretty good rocking the hell out!!!!

  • 太田カツは一生Yingwieフォロワーでいるつもりなんだろうか・・・

  • where can i find this dvd?

  • @andyguitarz Young Guitar June 2009. It's sold out :(

  • People, Before Yngwie, there was Ritchie Blackmore. Norifumi Shima has more of a Blackmore sound then an Yngwie sound. They are just modern versions of the past.

So what ,they copied someones style wooo! Let them be. How many other guitarist copied other guitarist, to get where wanted to be??

  • yngwie is best xd

  • His fretting hand moves so smoothly that it makes everything done look effortlessly

  • ofcourse there are diffrence between yjm and this guy couse they r not same person BUT this guy tried to be same person who is YJM....

  • Yngwie's lost brother!

  • katsu ohta shreds! and ark storm is one of my favorite bands .

  • Damn it. I hate Malmsteen copies. There are lots, they use stratocaster, same clothes, same scales...

  • @Tori965 I'm tired of these unoriginal comments about Malmsteen copies from people who can't see the difference.

  • @WigglyMalmsteam no kidding, this guy is different, he uses less gain for one.

  • @WigglyMalmsteam That's not it... same clothes, haircut, scalloped frets... thats a little too much i think!

  • @WigglyMalmsteam

yeah.. and why not, He plays amazingly and I love the clothing style of the 80's like malmsteen and maybe there are many scales which came from malmsteen but it sounds amazing, and sadly malmsteen is now a littel bit outpowered he's best time was during the 80's and 90, don misunderstand me I adore yngwie malmsteen he's just godlike but I'm looking forward to this japanese guitarists ;) thanks for upload

    keep on rock'n

  • @WigglyMalmsteam between what belongs malmsteen and touch your no difference ... it would be like a new song malmsteen .. but I admit I play very well:)

  • @WigglyMalmsteam there aren't difference on this song, because he play the same notes of malmsteen, the same speed of execution of the track, he's so boring.....he doesn't have any fantasy.....he copy only malmsteen

  • @WigglyMalmsteam trust me. if he was playing a gibson or an ibanez no one would think of yngwie when they saw this.

  • @Tori965 then why dont you go whine on all the Blackmore copies, you can start with Yngwie for example. i bet you are quite original yourself

  • @Tori965 actually non are copies malmsteen is way too hard to copy that's one thing 2 yngwie wouldn't compose that he would do something completely different in fact that guy is just inspired by him

  • @Tori965 friend, is very influenced by Malmsteen, but plays very well, accept:)

  • After 15 minutes of listening to this genius, I must hear Muddy Water's "Strange Woman Blues" so I don't give up completely so I can make a few notes sound good.

This guy could rock in blues if he has a soul.

    OK, jealous!

  • I wonder if he can teach the scales to me.

  • 確かに上手いけど、所詮、イングヴェイの真似事だな。まだ、島紀史の方がマシ。

  • Amazing song! I love that japanese ^^ Beautiful arpeggios.

  • What can u say but incredible!

  • I love Katsu Ohta, but the tone is this video is not the one I like from him. Guess that the young guitar magazine techs sets different sounds.

  • 0:34 & 1:27 so fantastic melody

  • increadible.

  • This is just too good!

I can't believe there is no footage of Arkstorm anywhere on YouTube? I wish they had released a DVD. Katsu is one of the most underated guitarist of all time.

    Katsu rules!!!

  • sounds like malmsteen but hell yeah malmsteen rocks and so does he!!!

  • Fucking Fantastic

  • AWSOME!!!!!

  • Thanks for this video, i love the Katsu's work, he's amazing!
