I'm not trying to be racist, but why are they fucking caucasian? was the director trying not to be "discriminative" by putting in caucasians so that people wont think this is racist? wtf
this is like putting african knights and asian as scottish rebels in a medieval british war movie..
I was a huge fan of the show when it was on and was a bit disappointed with the movie. They could've easily but the first movie into two parts like they did for Twilight or Harry Potter. Its too big of a story line of a chapter to put into one film. The acting was decent, a few bright spots here and there. The man who played Iroh and the girl who played Yue were great, the younger actors were less than subpar. Effects were great, scriptwriting was the ultimate downfall of the movie.
Oh dear... this actor was perfectly decent but they completely killed Sokka when they took away the humor. :P Come on, he's supposed to be FUNNY and SARCASTIC and LOVABLE. He's the goofy big brother character. Why take that away and make him look like he just swallowed a bug?

I'm sorry, but what idiot was in charge of fleet positioning? Were they planning on launching attacks against themselves? Because I can see no other reason why they are spread out so loosely. I mean come on, so of them aren't even facing the right direction for crying out loud. Did no one see this in the dailies and think it looked like crap?!
I'm sorry. That is NOT Sokka. I know that this is supposed to be a suspenseful scene, but this actor isn't even trying. How about adding a little more energy in your acting huh? If there's anything that Sokka is not, it's boring. This actor is simply boring in the scene. SHAME ON YOU, MOVIE!!!!!!!!
I watched this movie. I thought it sucked--- well ok it was more disappointing than it sucked, mainly because of under developed characters due to its short running time, unnecessary exposition, and a general lack of any real antagonism or dread. Who knows, maybe the sequel will better, assuming of course it gets a sequel. *Any comments?*
@maslue90 I'm with you. I think the movie was a very big disappointment. So much was left out but then again you can only squeeze so much into an hour and 20 mintes right? I couldnt believe they didnt pronounce Aang correctly. I mean how difficult could it have been to "repeat" the cartoon? I will say that the movie ended better than the cartoons book one with Aang as a liquid fish lol. In order for the sequels to come out the dvd must sell so please get it!!! AVATAR AANG will be worth it!
@2realmilnigga Actually I am still planning on buying the movie on blu ray, maybe there might be something in the extended features that might be a bit more redeeming than the movie's finale. But I do agree with you on that part, the ending was better in the movie than in the anime, but still I would have liked to see the giant koi fish beat the unholy hell out of the fire nation.
@maslue90 I actually really liked the movie, but I'll tell you what, it's nice to see some people that didn't like the film actually leave some intelligent comments, so many pages are saying shit like "Worst movie ever" and "This movie is absolutely horrible," at least you make a good and fair point. So many people are so stupid and never know what the hell they're talking about.

The intense in this scene is so good!!! The score is amazing!!! :) wish the movie was half as good!
