SHTF Prepping : Water - Berkey Sport Water Filter Bottle

What maintenance is there for this filter?? For example, when not using it for a while, do you have to dry out the filter?? If so, for how long? Or do you have to clean the outside so it will not clog?

It took me a while to find the "Sport Berkey" on the website listed above. You can find them under the "Accessories" tab starting at $24.99 They are not under the "Product" tab.
