Breathe-Implant Surgery: a new titanium implant for the nose

I had this surgery 4 years ago. I breathe so much better but my nose is bigger (which makes sense duh) and is alway red (triangle shaped over strip). My surgeon says just use makeup but nothing I use so far totally eliminates that I have a red nose after a couple hours.

Would I do it again? Yes, because I now seldom have colds or allergy symptoms that turn into nasal infections. Perhaps that's due to the (homemade) saltwater/baking concoction I rinse my nose with daily since the surgery.

@5585steve Spring Valley, IL. My insurance covered it as an outpatient. Earlier surgeries that year scraped excess bone tissue from my nose due to my cleft palette or childhood surgeries. This was to increase my airflow on one side from 40%. Seriously, have you tried the homemade nasal rinse of Kosher salt & baking soda. It is so much better than the commercial ones with preservatives to clear your nasal passages.

@modchild1965 do not worry. The surgery might look gruesome for non-surgeons. But it is an elegant and bloodless operation with a great benefit to the patient.
