Orff's "Carmina Burana" was also created an played under nazi rule. It just wasn't much propaganda because it was about making fun, eating and dancing.

Guys let's look at the Nazi party and ss honestly hitler, Steiner, Himmler, and other generals and officers would've kicked russias ass and everyone elses. The one reason they lost and no not because of d day but god help those men, but how Germany got to carried away with their technology that they tried to fight on two fronts and really lost for that and japan attacking pearl harbor before even the Germans or japan it's self was ready. Sure hitler fell but this world could be really diffrent

@229wazup More like hitler was cocky as fuck and assumed he would take Stalingrad before winter without taking proper precaution and making sure his troops had enough supplies for winter........guess what they didn't , there was the fatal mistake, not to mention you are gonna fight alot harder when your defending your home were as the Germans lost their drive to fight for something that didn't matter very much. The Russians, the men fighting for their home, are going to fight much harder

The German army and air force and navy were well trained.
USA forces needed to come up very quickly.
In WWII and WWI, the Germans and Brits were the best trained military, USA was a catch up.
But in WWII came to its glory, especially under the likes of General Patton and MacArthur.

Many of the Wehrmacht's uniforms were designed by Hugo Boss, especially those of the SS. Explains why they looked so sharp.

@nick21sammy I'm thinking about dressing as a German soldier for halloween( my last one to dress for). I wouldn't be surprised if I was called a nazi even though I'm not gonna be wearing a swastika. And me being German, I'm sick of being called a nazi. The first thing a kid asked me when I told him I was German was, "You're racist?" Oh so sick of it. Germans can never live their own desired lives anymore. :(

Im Swiss and even i cop flak, its always "Oh so youre a german then" or "so youre a nazi?" at least when you reenact and your in groups and seen talking with British and U.S. reenactment units they realise youre not a nazi. but you know all this will fade away. before hitler it was Napoleon that was seen as the devil and look at the french now. They don't get anything like "so you supourt napoleon?" when the veterans are gone it will just be another war.

I was born in Berlin during the war and remember how miserable we Germans were after the war was lost. My mother had 4 children to raise alone until my father returned from captivity in 1952 from Russia. I remember playing in the rubble and never having enought to eat as a child. Hitler was a mad man and was very cruel to us who suffered so much and turned his back on all Germans at the end of war. Americans seem to glorify him and Nazis-you people have no idea what life was life like then!
