  • dustin look like alpacino as scarface ?

  • HOW HE WAS YOUNG BACK THAN

  • @Aeberli1 then

  • I was gonna watch it then the trailer showed everything, so wdf.

  • Comment removed

  • You mean it already won an award before its release [1967]?:)[0:02]

  • @SteveCarras

I think he won an oscar for something else before the graduate.

  • This trailer blows.

  • Im 16 now and this is definitely one of my fav's!!!! Thanks do the Dustin Hoffman + Robert De'Niro Interview with letterman!!!

  • best film ever, an amazing actor, incredible music and just the best story plot I could think of :-)

  • Anyone else find it hard to believe that Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft are only 6 years apart?

  • @katieav :D:D You're Right

  • did i just watch a trailer or the whole film?

  • @calahoon22 i was going to watch it....until i saw this.

  • @calahoon22 i was going to watch it....until i saw this.

  • BEN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dustin Hoffman

  • just saw this for the first time! in my top 5. i'm only 20 too lol

  • what is the name of the song at the beginning???

  • @samulis1 sound of silence

  • @Ttreblerebel thanks

  • It's rain man!

  • Just because it's a classic doesn't mean it's good. This probably is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

  • @SexyLikeThat1000 its a classic because this film was released in 1967 when the US and Vietnam quagmire was starting to come to a high point not to mention presidential candidates for the 1968 election were campaigning. This film broke most boundaries of the time including the film code and making the US government and the1950s middle class look corrupt.

  • great movie, plus hoffman got serious acheivement banging both mother-in-law and one of the prettiest faces on movie history

  • What a great movie, made at a time when movies were movies. Today, political correctness, action flicks and pure junk. How I yearn for the days when good films were produced.

  • the whole fucking movie lol

  • This is one of the Best Directed films of all time. Won Mike Nichols an Oscar afterall. It was also snubbed of Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. Terrific acting, terrific script, terrific everything.

Whoever says otherwise, maybe you have to spend a night with Mrs. Robinson....

  • this is one of the most pathetic films i have ever seen. all the hype and nothing delivered.

  • OMG I always wanted to know where the alliance name "Mrs. Robinson" came from on Big Brother now I know! I kinda wanna watch this movie! If there hasn't been a remake by now I'm about 98% sure there will be one soon!

  • Did you know Doris Day turned down the role of Mrs. Robinson?

  • I thought modern trailers gave movies away, but it looks like they did back then too. Awesome movie anyways. Interesting book, very different.

  • was this seriously the trailer? its three minutes and pretty much the whole movie LOL

  • @frostflower789 back in the day the trailers were from 2 to 3 minutes long xD

  • Hahaha the script and acting look so awkward, but a great story and some interesting themes explored.

  • This is the trailer? This is pretty much the whole movie just summarized.

  • Simpsons.... That's where this movie ended up.

  • I think Hellen mirren, Jesse eisenberg and Emma stone would make a great remake

  • Comment removed

  • @calvinmillerproducts OMG blasphemy

  • Hilarious editing!

  • deserved to win for director, should've won for film editing and cinematography too

  • This trailer was awful, and its my favorite movie haha.

  • lol @ the acting

  • Wow, trailers used to suck... good movie though...

  • wtf

    asdasdasdasd

  • wtf

  • is that desmond from lost??

  • Way to give away the whole plot practically.

    Great movie nonetheless.

  • One of the best movies ever! Especially the wedding scene

  • Now this is movie! I saw a clip of this movie in 500 days of summer.

  • I LOVE SIMON AND GARFUNKLE.

  • Great Movie! I have seen it two days ago for the first time! It seems unreal but it is real for something else! I love the soundTrack! Lovely

  • This is definitely one of the greatest movies of all time, there is not one bad thing about it. One of my favorite movies of all time

  • r u kidding me? u just showed me the whole movie, the WHOLE movie...you poop face

  • @poniestico It's not exactly the uploader's fault, this is the original theatrical trailer after all.

  • I don't get it. this movie ain't much. what's all the hype about?

  • @cys12141 It was really of it's time... Culture was changing so fast in the mid 60's and this really tapped into that feeling.... Movies weren't made like this up until this point. It shifted Hollywood away from sound stage productions that were full of beautiful lighting. Old Hollywood was put to bed with this and Bonnie & Clyde which both came out the same year..... Plus, it is a great film with perfect direction, and wonderful acting from Hoffman (his first film) and Ann Bancroft.

  • this trailer reveals too much about the movie.

  • It doesn't get more awkward to bang a chick after you've been banging her mom........ trust ;)

  • SUPERB

  • I don't see "brilliance" when I see this flick. I see a Joe Sarno plot with a big named cast and a strange, grossly out of sync with the action S & G soundtrack. (look up Sarno on wiki for more info.)

  • Sparknotes: The Movie

  • Love this movie, saw it yesterday. 2 bad that the trailer tells a lot, a little to much in my opinion....

  • @evaatjuhhh Really the whole plot given away and the "are you seducing me Mrs. Robinson?" Is a classic better saved for the movie.

  • What kind of car is Dustin Hoffman driving in this movie? Does anybody know?

  • wow! you might as well post the entire movie on, instead of this!

  • For once, highest rated comments helped me out.

I haven't finished watching, and it saved me from ruining it

  • Thumbs up if Cassandra's wedding scene from Wayne's World 2 brought you here.

  • Is it a trailer or the full movie?

  • What's the song called at the start? I love it!

  • @ThouShallNotBeHornyy You don't know anything about music, do you?

  • @ThouShallNotBeHornyy Simon & Garfunkel - the Sound of Silence

  • @ThouShallNotBeHornyy Simon & Garfunkel - the Sound of Silence

  • Awesome man, this is called the true dedication towards cinematic art. BTW, what is the name of this song in end, is it a scottish song? I had this tune in my old yamaha music keyboard.

  • @coolguitar007 Scarborough Fair by Simon&Garfunkel:)

  • @mosdefkrn well pointed out mosdefkrn. what came first the song mrs robinson or this movie or did they both come at once? was this the 80's wheres the queen theme music

  • Mrs Robinson is hot

  • This is my film. And Dustin Hoffman is my soul-mate.

  • Comment removed

  • High School Musical, Camp Rock, Twilight and all that shit take note: THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE LOVE MOVIES

  • "Why don't you just stand there and watch"

    "Oh sure thank you."

  • mediocrefilms ...that sonofabitch

  • haha i just realised why wayne bangs on the window at cassandra's wedding in waynes world 2...

  • this is the whole movie but in 3:16

  • @kutchieMik hahaha i saw it for the first time on tcm last night and wowwwww i did NOT expect it to be like that at all. so good.

  • No, they look like 'oh crap, wtf did we just do?'

  • Dude. Dustin Hoffman was HOT.

  • reminds me of the maroon 5 music video

  • watch this trailer and then don't bother watching the movie

  • This movie looks messed up.

  • Mrs Roberson you're trying to seduce me.....LMAO

  • @mosdefkrn Most If not all movie trailers expose the plot of the movie. Trailers are basically a 1 minute synopsis of the entire movie.

  • @MrFrequenC

it seems to conintue the "sound of silence" theme in the film. but you make a good point. the irony is that although the film has an anti-establishment tone, in the end he marries elaine instead of continuing the affiar with mrs. robinson.

  • (spoiler alert) at the end of the movie, on the bus home, ben and elaine don't seem to happy, do you think that they should have left together?

  • @MrFrequenC No, they look like 'oh crap, wtf did we just do?'

  • I'm a third year college student recently turned 20 and I must say I'm very fortunate to have just recently seen this movie

  • I love this movie. Amazing!

  • the song at the beginning isn't Scarborough Faire it is Sound of silence.

  • @smwScott I believe in the title you should add the word "original" in "original trailer" and the words "spoiler alert" in parenthesis. It's just an earnest opinion, since I watched the trailer and now I realize the plot has been exposed, which might make the experience of watching it much less good.

  • fuck ya'll

  • @thuchawes

Nothing is wrong with it. I just think a classic such as this one should reach new generations. That's all.

  • i love simon and garfunkle

  • spoiler alert!

  • Someone should make a remake of this movie

  • @G4Vegan

Remakes should be made of movies that aren't very good, that gives you the chance to fix whatever has gone wrong. now let me ask you what is wrong with this one?

  • @G4Vegan please no.

  • It's not Faith by George Michael, it's The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.

  • I'm going to live this life one day. I am halfway there.

  • I agree, it basically told the whole story to you in 3 mins...

But either way, The Graduate is still an AMAZING film :-) xx

  • @mosdefkrn yea but it beats a teaser trailer any day lol i hate them

  • me recuerda una misma experiencia que tube de adolecente , fantastica la pelicula , hasta la fecha la vuelvo a ver ***** cinco estrellas

  • trailors abck then were terrible o.O

  • this is a crap trailer

    but the plot seems interesting

  • I'm starting to believe that he was just born with that nose....

  • Buck Henry, who co-wrote this, created "Get Smart", along with Mel Brooks, and the man who plays Mrs. Robinson's husband played Mr. Death, in an original "Twilight Zone" episode.

  • Haha this trailer is basicly the whole entire movie under 4 minutes :p

  • what song @ 2:20

  • @timppa600

Sounds like Faith by George Michael

  • @timppa600

But wait! It can't be! If this trailer is original anyway. Faith by George Michael was recorded 20 years after the movie.

  • @timppa600

Earlier in the comments it's said that it's Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel, but that doesn't sound right to me. Maybe it's a version of the song made specially for the movie. You can find it here on an original LP soundtrack:

    youtube. com/watch?v=iQB5JoVBBvU

    Sorry for the triple comment

  • @Maximodo88 the graduate version and the released cd version were completely different

  • @ShnuckFuckle Maybe you had the wrong cd. I left that comment a long time ago, or it at least feels like that, but I remember finding a youtube video where a guy plays this exact version on a 12" vinyl LP which was released as an OST for the movie. So I know I got the name right. And it really sounds like Faith by George Michael, or actually the other way around :-)

  • @Maximodo88 no they releasedd an LP which has the film version but all other relases eg album releases are different !

  • @ShnuckFuckle Why the exclamation mark? This makes you angry or something? I mean, I don't get what the problem is. If you want that song than go to youtube(dot)com/watch?v=iQB5JoVBBvU and download it

  • @ShnuckFuckle There are cleaner versions here:

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=l7XqimTfEKo

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=mDrTCqXZrTQ

and to all others who just read the comment, this is Mrs Robinson by Simon & Garfunkel recorded specially for the movie. It can be heard in the trailer at 2:19

  • I love this movie. It's so human and complex

  • this is obviously the whole movie in 3 minutes

  • I have just finished the book, hopefully will be watching this film soon, looks pretty good. But elaines scream at the end mademe laughed haha

  • the sound of silence

  • just saw it at 'retrolove movies' im in love with Benjamin :S

  • somebody knows how call the song of the video¿¿

  • @luna84100 the one that you hear at the begining and the end is: "The sound of silence" by Simon & Garfunkel. It also appears on the Watchmen soundtrack.

  • thank you very much!!! is much beautiful the song no¿¿

  • Well so much for movie suspense.

  • 0:55 Have you gotten___ yet? What?

  • "Have you gotten us a room yet?"

  • I love this film. But I don't get it, why is it considered this movie funny. Most of the time I wasn't laughing although I chuckled on a very few scenes before the end of the movie. I laughed the most with joy at the end when (spoiler alert) Ben snatches Elaine from her wedding at the same time I cheered as if I watched my favorite team score.

  • @lenini056

are you kidding?! this movie is hilarious! its sortof dry humor. but come on, youve gotta love how mrs. robinson and benjamin interact. and its sortof funny how the movie plays out.

  • Simon & Garfunkel music suits this film very much.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • Yes!

  • this is more a summery then a preview

  • The preview gives away the whole film, damnit.

  • That's how previews were back then.

  • Makes me wonder why people waste so much time watching the latest dreck and when you ask about movies like this, "Oh, I heard of that, never saw it." Hey, life is too short. Don't miss it.

  • I never saw this movie, but it's referenced alot, did he hit that

  • Take the time and watch it ;-)

  • esrohtsaf95 are you kidding me!? Have you seen this movie. It's beautifully shot, the story is great. The music, Dustin Hoffman's performance and Mike Nichols has directed it masterly.

  • The story is so brilliant..

the movie is very slow with makes it really special.

    It's just amazing :D

  • @esrohtsaf95 i think its a really beautiful story about love and the expectations of youth. its a film that i can really relate to. a lot of people think that its dated, yet i think its more relivent today than ever.

  • ql o nome dessa musica?

  • sound of silence...

    simon and garfunkel

  • Wow what a bunch of spoilers for a trailer

  • @Pistbag Trailers back then mostly all gave spoilers for the film. I want to see this film so I flicked the trailer off

  • @Pistbag Hi thanks for the comment, I don't think I'll watch it now. I hate spoilers.

  • from 00:58 - 01:09 scene

Mrs.Robinson: I'll get undress now, is that alright?

Ben: Sure. Should I, I mean i just stand here? I mean i dont know what you want me to do.

    mrs.Robinson: why dont you watch?

Ben: Oh sure. thank you. (staring at her to get undress with excitement on his face).

haha... this is the funniest response ever.

  • heyyyyyyy thats rainman =D

  • Agree, if you hadn't read the book or seen the movie, the whole 'wedding surprise' scene at the end would be ruined. I saw another version of this trailer with the "Rated PG" ad at the end. I think this must be for a re-release in the '70's, because in 1967, the MPAA used ratings like "M" for Mature, and even "GP " (Which got changed to "PG").
