do the older H6 trains travel slower than the normal, newer bombardier trains? what speed do they normally travel at? riding on the TTC each time, i always wonder
I forgot to mention, the bombardier trains can only go about 70km/h. The H4's can do about 95km/h with ease and as the H5 and H6 trains they can go about 80-85km/h
As far as has been disclosed by the commission, they all have a maximum design speed of 55 mph/ 88 km/h but a maximum operating speed of 50 mph/80 km/h. I have seen the T1's read as high as 60 in the driver's cab at parallel. harder to keep track on the H series because they dont have clearly visible digital gauges.

The bombardier trains are the slowest we have. The fastest trains are the H4's. The H5's and H6's are pretty much the same

Is that because of safety?
Because if some happens with the tracks, wouldn't a T1 stop faster than a H4 if they were both on MAX speed?
