Okay, I have to comment on this one since I am a big Lennon fan...This whole tapping thing just does not do it for me. Yes, I realize it is "harder" but the song "Imagine" is simple and that is how it is supposed to be. I could steer my car with my foot which would be "harder" but that does not make it a good idea. Technical is not always musical. This lacks emotion and sounds stiff...The "funkybrother1979" guy that commented below has a better version on his channel. More tasteful in my book!

Did you see the cloth used as a capo and probably to mute. Someone critized the tapping. What an Idoit. It does not make it easier. He is putting all these techniques together and improvizing to create the most important thing. The sound. Watch the video again and close your eyes.
