hipcanuck is just a bit too hip for his/her own good. I clicked on this vid because I love the Rheostatics. I'm not gonna go click on a Britney Spears vid just to badmouth or criticize it. I'll just AVOID it to begin with.

This is probably one of my favourite songs that I've ever heard in my life...hipcanuck, if you're so hip and Canadian, appreciate that they were a great band, regardless if you didn't like a few songs on one album...I concur with everyone who has put your post down, because you, sir/ma'am, are ignorant...you don't want your Rheos discs anymore, send them my way, cuz at least I can appreciate it instead of bad-mouthing it...

@iris2gamera it's either this version or the one on "Double Live" that i like the most...the CBC version is great as well, but not as they are on the former mentions...still an amazing track...and one that I cover as well...!!!

Mr./Mrs. Hip Canuck, really. When's the last time you met someone who actually liked a band because it was 'cool'? You sound like a fourteen-year old sussing out poseurs from your beloved scene. It's okay to not like this band, but it's also okay to like them.

I can tolerate different styles, and probably wouldn't even complain about this song, album, band, if people didn't pretend to like them so much to be cool. Its ok to criticize this shit people. You won't sound uncool. By the way, any book that Dave Bidini writes is fuckin awesome and will be a multi-read.

The most uncool thing I can think of is liking a band because its a cool thing to do.  I'd suggest an open mind in judging taste. There are other possible reasons for you not liking this music..one of them being that you just don't get it. Like I don't get, say, Joel Plaskett. And, I just don't understand where you got the idea that its cool to love the Rheostatics..wouldn't many more people be doing it?

Bidini.... stick to writing books. I can't beleive I wasted money on Introducing Happiness. Other than Claire, the album is purely awful. How do critics call this "art rock"? No wonder in On a Cold Road you complained of Hip fans "not getting" the Rheos... no shit.

one of my favorite songs . just great . I enjoy the live version on "Double Live" slightly more but either way a piece of fantastic song writing .
