  • It's Yukimasa Nakamura! Youngest of three Nakamura brothers.

  • I thinking that in sode tsurikomi goshi we grab uke's elbow, not wrist.

  • @LukaWarsPL Traditionally the hikite is on the sleeve. This video is a traditional demonstration. In my view there's nothing wrong with an elbow grip but if I was being tested for a promotion and I was asked to demonstrate that throw I'd grip the sleeve.

  • @droman30 Theanks for answer. I think that technique with sleeve has other name.

  • @droman30 I agree completely with LukeWarsPL. This is a right handed grip into left sided throw (traditional). It is meant to confused opponent as to direction of attack and throw. Both elbow and sleeve are correct. This throw was used allot buy Koga in competition successfully, Koga is probably one of greatest players ever in my humble opinion. Being only 65 kilos or less he fought his way all the way into the final match only to loose due to exhaustion from fighting players twice his weight.

  • @LukaWarsPL There's more than one way to do it - that is true of all throws.

  • great video. are you in it?

  • @REDSAMURAI307 No, this is not me. I am not asian.
