Wow just wow. What do you actually think whilst improvising, or how is your approach. That would really interest me. I play piano and am happy that I can solo over Autumn Leaves now ;) and I understand theory, but I cant think that fast ;)
My alltime favorite Coltrane song. My teacher explained to me once how revolutionary it was to move keys in this way, at the time. You played it wonderfully, you've got a lot of talent and I really enjoy what you're posting. Post more stuff!! Do you have MP3s for sale anywhere?
That was the freshest sounding improvisation I have heard in a long while. You have your own approach on piano. I'm really pleased to have found your video today. Will be checking out more of your work. Well done!
This is some of the best piano improvisation I've seen recorded after 1980. I'd love to play with you some time! I'm a bassist---mostly I do jazz and rock, but I'm a huge fan of 8bit music too.
Because of your improvisation and musical tastes I have to wonder, are you in the group LSD? I heard a copy of "Chrono Moonstone" and after listening to your soloing on this I gotta know if your the same guy who played on that.
shnabubula you are the shit. please keep playing and posting more videos. are those backing tracks and if so did you program them and if so how? or are you playing with a trio? really really great stuff! vids like this remind me why i love music :)
wow thanks man. Yeah the backing is programed so to speak. The drums were step-recorded, that's where you click in the exact timings but still use a keyboard to input note and velocity data and the bass part I just played in.

Nice work with the two-handed octave movement near the end. I would have borked that 2 notes in, haha. Ace stuff! :)
