Good tips. I also use Juice Defender which kills my data/wifi when the screen is off. Helps a TON.

@atreuce Haha, just saw your comment and just posted my own of Juice Defender. Do you enjoy Juice Defender that much? It seems like it takes way too long after turning the screen on to re gain wifi or 3g and just makes me angry way too often lol.

The "minimalist" themes are great for the black backgrounds and apps. I just switched to Black Facebook, Clear 4 Twitter and Black Gmail. OG Epic users should try Travismoreno's Minimalist Black theme; also RandomRom ThunderHawk 3.3. I have been averaging 14 hours of battery life with moderate to heavy-moderate use.
