in the religious context there is no suffering, it all boils down to ultimate good plan to advance and evolve to knowing God & have everlasting lives, for death has a good subsititue to salvation. So whatever U "suffer" is part of a larger picture.

in the Religious context God is all the time all loving, the plan was from the begining a grace, of knowing Gods' love. But this has to pass through a process, for all of us human beings.
Part of Gods love from the beginning is salvation for all human and deliverance from Death towards freely knowing himself, and in this scenario there has to be fuffering and choice of turning your back away from God and choose not to accept God
